Mana: the Girlfriend of Steel - What do you think of her?

The eponymous heroine from the Eva game- do you like her or hate her?

I think she's okay, in an alternate-universe sort of way. At least it gives Shinji the rare opportunity to actually act like he has a spine, or at least some social skills with girls. And Mana is certainly more normal than the other two female pilots. Unless you consider Hikari, heh.

Side- I don't know why, but I guess polls aren't allowed on this subforum. So the responses are either Eh (positive), Meh (indifferent), and Bleah (negative).

I've got GoS, but haven't been able to finish it.

Do they ever give a reason for NERV's rivals using child pilots? Since, as far as I can recall, the T-RIDEN-T doesn't contain anybody's soul and isn't organic, what's the point of having kids drive the big clunkers?

Was this what you were looking for

GoS was the product of time and money. As a formula

GoS = Time x Money

Also GoS = Mana, so

Mana = Time x Money

But we also know that time is money, so substituting

Mana = Money ^ 2

Knowing that money is the root of all evil (money = _/ Evil), we substitute to get

Mana = Evil

Yeah they do; it's because training takes time, and they're preparing for a war, at which point they'll be all grown-up.

The first time I saw her I said "WOW Asuka cut her hair" now Im like "Hey its that girl that no one likes"

I don't particularly hate her but i'm not a fan of her. She just seems to be nothing more then a plot device for the game she isn't very interesting and just seems to have a generic personality really. Then again it's not really the most exciting of games either.

I only played it for the Asuka ending.

ive always liked characters like her...

plus her hair and demeanor remind me of a sweet girl i had love with at a summer camp in Montanna one year

im curious to know what Anno thinks of her...

That's she is the anti-Eva probably. She just doesn't fit into the world of Evangelion.

I thought she was a cute character (kinda cool how Megumi Hayashibara gets a chance to do a hyper character for a series game, and not just Rei!), but I prefer Asuka/Shinji. (Yes, I beat the game and watched all three endings. ^_^

My next target: GoS2! ...raw O_o

Asuka appears to Shinji and Mana afterclass: "Anyone will do for you as long as it's a girl, right?!" Shinji freaks out: "Wha...what's wrong, Asuka? Do you need something?" Hehe...poor sap. He can never get a break.

Though there was a very OOC Asuka quote from ending 3, I think it was: "You can't see that girl because you're in love with me!" :shock: (As Shinji replied "I don't know about that!" :lol:

)

Anyhow, I thought it was interesting how with, um, ending 2 I guess it was, Mana flashes Shinji. O_o

(She took a shower at Misato's place.) Wonder if that means anything "happened"?

BTW, I love that "money/girls are the root of all evil" post, funny stuff! :mrgreen:
