It's hard to believe it's already been a decade, but it's true. Khara itself turns 10 this year in May! Congratulations to Anno and co. on their big anniversary and here's wishing them lots of success this year and in the future! :asuka_thumbsup:

I completely forgot about it until their tweet popped up in my feed this morning:

It kinda gets lost between the Eva anniversaries. Eva turned 20 last year, Khara turns 10 this year, and Rebuild turns 10 next year!

Finishing rebuild would be a great way to celebrate but, I don't think it'll happen till 2017 due to Godzilla. However, I think the silence will finally break this year, and the shroud of secrets around 3.0+1.0 will start to unravel. That said I would bet there will be nothing until the summer but who knows.

I think the road to 3.0+1.0 will start this year that's my gut feeling. My biggest hope is a teaser at the least for the year. The Animator expo shorts held me over last year and Godzilla will prob as well however this is the year I think we will see something related to 3.0+1.0, but I'm in no rush I never want them to rush, some people might say otherwise but I strongly disagree they can take their time, they've always taken their time, this is the most important series of film/television to me personally, however long it takes does not matter to me its done when its done. So heres to 2016, I hope to see some worthwhile Eva discussion here if the opportunity arises.

^That personally seems about right. We should hopefully get somewhere with the mysterious final movie this year.

I mean we know when 3.0 is getting it's western English release so, the last part is 4.0.

I hope so too. The wait is so agonizing when there's no news at all! Fingers crossed that it comes out before the end of this year, but 2017 is looking more and more likely.

As much as I want to see 3.0+1.0, I'm also really curious to see what Anno and Khara will do next once Eva has been finished to their satisfaction and that burden is lifted off their shoulders, so to speak.
Someday I hope that we'll be reunited if that is what's destined to be. Perhaps we'll discover that elusive bible. And then we will finally be free!

I'm loving the Hell out of NGE TV right now (2016 Third Impact!), and am excited as fuck over Godzilla Resurgence. As much as I wanna see Shin Eva, I am far more contented to wait.

Honestly, for me the journey has been more rewarding than the deliverance. I'm not saying Anno's dropped the ball on his new films or anything, but the sense of mystery has been maintained for so long that (potentially) cutting it just like that with one movie will make me miss the time we were all theorizing over weird Eva stuff. But, who knows. EoTV and EoE left us with over a decade's worth of things to sort through. Hopefully NTE will leave us with something comparable once it's completed.

Also, happy birthday Khara! It's been a sweet ride so far!

I don't know, I kind of have trouble imagining a world where I don't latently wait for FFXV, Kizumonogatari and Shin Eva. Now that FFXV and Kizu will see the light of the day this year, I'm kinda happy there's still something left I look forward to media-wise.

I'm joking more than anything else.

But seriously, this IS getting ridiculous and is counterproductive from a business and marketing point of view.

Tenth anniversary celebrations are perfect times to do something as far as advertisement/building hype for your next project, and we still have NADA.

They've only just started announcing things and besides which, who is to say there won't be a surprise at the event they have planned?

^Their anniversary was just today, after all. And if they are planning to make any announcements this year, this event seems like as good a place as any to do it. Or maybe they'll ask us to please be patient again. Who knows?

It's awesome that Khara has already been around for 10 years.

I am more astonished that 1.0 next year will be 10 years old, because it looks pretty damn good for a 10 year old movie, especially considering the way animation has evolved in the past decade alone. I don't actually know myself, but I wonder if Khara has worked on anything else besides the Rebuilds or the recently ended Animator Expo?

^Lots is putting it lightly.

Halo Legends and Gurren Lagann caught me off guard. I had assumed that Khara wasn't around when Gurren Lagann came out, but I just need to get a better hold of when stuff actually happens. Halo Legends I am just surprised because I wouldn't think to associate Khara with Halo.

I really hope they start making brand new stuff after Eva is done. I feel like this studio has amazing potential, as demonstrated by the Expo.

Ooooh, I didn't know Khara was involved in P4's animation and Madoka's last movie. I remember Anno saying he enjoyed the movies, and specially something among the lines of how nicely they adapted the show in movies, but didn't know his own studio helped.
I can't help but find it funny how there were people asking for Eva in the anniversary tweet Khara wrote few days ago instead of congratulate them. We are not the only ones craving for Final. I guess that's a relief?
No news these days though, only even more :cringe: Kaworu with Shinji merchandising and Godzilla x Eva, from what I've seen, unfortunately. Aaah, I was looking forward to it only to have AT LEAST a date... that's all I'm asking even if that date becomes 2018 or something.

Khara just announced a convention world tour! http://extr.b-ch.com/cgi-bin/eva_news/o ... ctg_c=1001

I'm not clear on the details, but here are the destinations and dates I can make out:
-July 3 - LA - Anime Expo 2016

-7/7-7/10 - Paris - Japan Expo 2016

-POP SUMMIT2016 (San Francisco July 22 to 24, 2016)

-ACG2016 (Hong Kong July 29 to August 2, 2016)

-Japan Pavilion, Expo (Taipei City, August 11 to 16, 2016)

-AFA2016 THAILAND (Thailand August 19 to 21, 2016)

-AFA2016 INDONESIA (Indonesia September 16 to 18, 2016)

-AFA2016 SINGAPORE (Singapore 2016 November 25 to 27 days)

-EVANGELION STORE TOKYO-01 (Ikebukuro October schedule)

And the final stop on the tour will be the Khara 10th anniversary expo to be held somewhere in the Tokyo area. Date, location and details TBA.

This is kind of exciting. ^_^ If the expo is last, then it looks like it'll possibly be held in early-mid December.
Someday I hope that we'll be reunited if that is what's destined to be. Perhaps we'll discover that elusive bible. And then we will finally be free!
