I think dozens and dozens of Frozen and Minions knockoff mobile games are far more scary.

Especially the surgery, ear cleaning and dental games.

Can I get four? One for each limb. It's a friggin' furnace where I am right now.

You know what's the worst about hot weather? The way it makes your clothes stick to the more sensitive parts of your body.

Have you been introduced to the majesties of baby/body powder after showering?
Among the people who use the Internet, many are obtuse. Because they are locked in their rooms, they hang on to that vision which is spreading across the world. But this does not go beyond mere ‘data’. Data without analysis [thinking], which makes you think that you know everything. This complacency is nothing but a trap. Moreover, the sense of values that counters this notion is paralyzed by it.

And so we arrive at demagogy. - Hideaki Anno, 1996

Maybe; it's not like any of us know her beyond her looks. If they make each other happy, I'm happy for them, and she seems pretty darn committed to him if she's having his baby.

Wow, that drawing -- what a romantic; but then, he's the author of a long-running romance series (that I've never read), so why should I be surprised?

^ I don't get it.

In more depressing news. . .

http://goboiano.com/news/5315-male-cros ... -comic-con

Male cross-dressing cosplay is now officially banned at Tokyo Comic-Con.

I can't believe this is happening in Japan of all places. First they came for the crossdressers, it's only a matter of time before they come for our sexy Neko girl leotard cosplayers too.

Ikuhara's not going to be happy. . .

Edit:
The no male cross-dressing rule has been rescinded. But there is a twist. Attendees are to wear special colored badges indicating what their 'real' gender is

It's not new, some people see the uniforms as both sexy and authoritative, despite the obvious disturbing association with brutality. If anything, the original Hugo Boss-designed SS uniforms were somewhat seen by some as having more aesthetics than any other military uniform in history, so it's also even reflected in the spiffy uniforms of the Principality of Zeon as well as the Imperial Army. Furthermore, it's not unusual that in some Japanese militaria circles, there's considerable admiration for the Wehrmacht and its war machines.

Well, something a bit more personal to me was that I found a super cool 80's bar in Nakano while I was in Japan the past two weeks. Let me tell you I'd been drunk but not dancing to Huey Lewis and the News with a bunch of Japanese people drunk. Someone told me how they learned English from Friends as in the 90's sitcom, there was a girl who was a total USA Network drama otaku who was saying how Suits was better than any Japanese drama ever, and lots of Oolong High was flowing. There was Michael Jackson, Billy Joel, Grandmaster Flash and all sorts of music as long as it wasn't Japanese! I swear they worshipped me just for being American, I felt bad for the Swedish girl there.
