Sailor Moon is not terrible, though my guilty pleasure would be the legend of korra.
It's technically not anime but it's good enough for me to enjoy.

Sword Art Online is a big guilty pleasure for me. It's dumb! Poorly written! Characters are vanilla one note and generic! The plot uninspired and typical! It deserves every bit of hate it gets!

. . .and I will go out of my way to watch every episode. . .

I complained about how Most modern movies are Junk food, and I say we as an audience deserve better. So I have to ask myself, do I genuinely like it on its own merits, or do I like it Ironically?

It's a surprisingly good show given the premise. I mean, that could be all manner of terrible, but there's a pretty solid plot there.

Hmmm....

The English dub of Ghost Stories. Full of such wonderful lines as "Monsters only get evil people, like Republicans, and we aren't old enough to vote!". Supposedly, the English dub crew were given the go-ahead by the Japanese crew to make the most ridiculous dub ever. It's hilarious.

Oreimo. I've heard that a lot of people don't like it. It's really not that great a show, but it's just so entertaining, that I don't care. It's one of those shows that you watch when you just want to switch your brain off and vegetate.

Girls Bravo and Kanokon. Alright, hear me out. These are both objectively bad shows. But, dammit if they aren't the perfect shows to play drinking games to. Boobage? Take a swig? Two characters in an awkward position? Take a shot. Spanking scene? Drink the whole bottle. I assure you, you'll be under the table before episode 1 is over.

Hanamaru Kindergarten

Oh Gainax, you have sunk so low since Gurren. This show is weird dude, the design of the kindergartners is offputting at best and horrific at worst, and their attraction to the one 20 year old dude is incredibly unsettling. But the silly interactions between the adults and the inability of them to properly express their feelings for one another has its claws in me.

Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-Kun

Silly Japanimu WAFF, characters are fun, it's so typical and I love it. I sincerely hope it gets a second season. About a girl who wants to ask out a handsome dude but instead gets roped into helping him draw shoujo Manga.

Bible Black

Truly the Evangelion of anime, what can I say that hasn't already been said except for the incredible lack of ludo narrative dissonance, and its acknowledgement of Hedonistic Hyperbole and histrionics. The show is really such an in depth analysis of the relationships between people, the pains they have to go through to get close (one woman even gets shot, yikes!) to one another. I would recommend that the younger one is when they watch it, the better. It's really made me question my own thoughts and feelings not only for my family but also those whom I call friends. It is in essence a brilliant conflation of the underlying preoccupations people have with success and money, and the inevitable futility of the fossil fuel industry, 10/10.

I agree. The show is cyclical as all get out but I'd watch it whenever it was on Adult Swim.

I blame YuGiOh! Abridged but I luuuuuve making fun of shonen series localized for America (specifically the YuGiOh! spin-offs and Beyblade). They're fun because they're so over-the-top and I like imitate the "kewl" American voices they dub in.

Speed Grapher. It's absolutely terrible, yet I just watched it again, and still loved the hell out of it.

School Days

It's writing is bland, has unlikable characters and is overall just a failed attempt to "Evangelionize" a genre that honestly didn't need one.

I also own the DVD and think it's one of the funniest things of all time due to just how absurd the whole show is 24/7. Also the ending is great in it's stupidity.

Also Highschool of the Dead, for, of course, zombies. And tits. Tits, tits and more tits.
