I'd doubt it will be Girl or Me!Me!Me!.

It could be inspired by ANY of the original Expo shorts. If we're betting I'll put my five bucks on it being a narrative tied to ME!ME!ME! & GIRL.

I'd put money on Cassette Girl. It looked like it was getting quite a bit of buzz after the expo ended, and it has a narrative that could be expanded.
Someday I hope that we'll be reunited if that is what's destined to be. Perhaps we'll discover that elusive bible. And then we will finally be free!

Cassette Girl is a likely one too. I was thinking of that.

Ah well. We'll find out later this year. I wonder if they'll keep the cast to just Megumi Hayashibara & Koichi Yamadera or if they'll expand it.

I don't see why they wouldn't expand the cast. They would have the budget to get a few more voice actors.

But has it been confirmed that they are even returning?

Anno talks about his influences on a Japanese Talk show.

Help? Translation please? If this isn't the right place to put this I'll move it.

Tie-in with the first books.

Possibly related: http://neweva.blog103.fc2.com/blog-entry-4669.html

Apparently the version of Danny Boy from Until you come to me was intended for 3.0 but wasn't used? I wonder if that lends more weight to theory that UYCTM is the "missing part" of 3.0?

It's more convincing to me to say merely: "contains elements of the original ending of 3.0", which I think is how I first saw the idea.

I just hope the title is a sign of more Patlabor to come.

So I ordered the big book for 20min Walk From Nishi-Ogikubo Station, 2 Bedrooms, Living Room, Dining Room, Kitchen, 2mos Deposit, No Pets Allowed and it arrived today.

Overall it's pretty much exactly like the Groundwork Of ________ (Genga shu) books, but with one big, MASSIVE improvement: It finally labels every single cut with the name of the animator responsible for it. WHY DID IT TAKE THEM SO LONG TO DO THIS!?!?

Also the credits in the back are both in Japanese and english, but I guess that's easy to copy paste when the work has already been done for the site.

Looking forward to more of these books :D
