Question about sigs

I just saw in the rules section that bbc code is not allowed in the sig, but I have seen many users use it.
I saw the rules after making it. However the rules say so because the sig is not supposed to distract. Is it OK this way? If not I change it back, no problem. I just like the color red.

It's certain BBCode, like quotes, preformatted text, images, spoiler tags, etc. I can't remember the entire list of bbcode that can't be used in sigs off the top of my head, they just get stripped out if you try to use them.
