Aaron Clark (Eva Monkey) article in Otaku USA (Feb '14 issue
Our very own Aaron Clark (Eva Monkey) can check yet another accomplishment off his bucket list. In the latest issue of Otaku USA (cover date: February 2014), he written a fine article on--what else?--Evangelion 3.0: You Can (Not) Redo. Currently, there is no online version of the article, but allow me to give a few teaser scans from the first two pages...

It's a 3 month exclusivity, so after that I'll have it reprinted or archived on my site.
It's a feature, so I was to write about it, rather than to critique. I found it fairly difficult, because I'm of the opinion that the timeskip is a major twist, and everything that comes after it was deliberately kept in the dark by the production. So a big part of the experience of watching it is going in blind. How exactly then, do you write about a film that's major twist comes 6 minutes in? So in some ways, I wrote about 3.0, and I hope readers find it interesting, or intriguing, but ultimately, I just barely scratched the surface.
For the record, they came to me. And being unemployed, I'm not about to say no.
Me too.
Bonus, the issue has a 3.0 cover, so adding this to my pick up one of these days list. And now we have something for Aaron to sign when you meet him in person.
Good luck on the job search too.

Shouldn't the title of the thread be changed to "upcoming issue" or February 2014 issue? Recent sounds like it happened already.

Technically, it's out already. I subscribe via direct mail delivery and generally subscribers get the issue a week or so before it hits bookstore and newsstand shelves. The "February 2014" cover date is statndard practice for periodical publishers so retailers can know if a certain issue is considered current.

^OK. But putting the date in the thread title will give a frame of reference, which "recent ish" won't after 2/14 passes.

It should say, "Exclusive interview: Aaron Clark".
