Yeah. You read right. This is for everything that doesn't have anything to do with Eva.

It's a small voltage regulator. I have no doubt that they can make a circuit to show a normal voltage out of a battery whose voltage has fallen - but it will do nothing to alter the increased internal resistance that comes with depletion and is the main reason that old batteries can no longer supply the current that most devices require. Even if it might help with a few very low power devices, in general I cannot see it being worth the bother, because it cannot create any actual extra energy.

Uh, so yesterday, my yesterday that is because it's Monday afternoon here, I went to Suwon station and was about to go to the food court, then these two people in nice outfits stopped me. They told me that they I guess do stuff with foreigners and noticed me, and asked if I was interested in eating dinner with them. I actually well.....I accepted their invitation and told them only if I gave them my junk email and a skype I never use anymore. It was really bizarre, but I only felt okay about doing this because I actually have nothing better to do here other than dick around at the station.

I was actually sorta excited this happened but after telling a few people about it, they didn't seem very happy I did this.

Oh, r1ce. I'm glad you made it through that okay, but that could have been really ugly. It's no surprise people reacted poorly to it! But still, you handled it well; giving them your junk e-mail and a useless Skype was smart. But I hope you see why people are upset by the fact that you had to go through that? People care about you, and don't want to see you harmed. Surely this isn't revolutionary?

I hate myself. But maybe I can learn to love myself. Maybe it's okay for me to be here! That's right! I'm me, nothing more, nothing less! I'm me. I want to be me! I want to be here! And it's okay for me to be here! -- Shinji Ikari, Neon Genesis Evangelion

Well, I forgot to mention that I told them it's a "maybe, not a definitely". Honestly, the only reason why I'm not totally upset, but just merely weirded out this happened is because it's not like they were Jehova's Witnesses or Mormons. That's one of my biggest concerns, or some other weird cult. The two people in question were like, my age and didn't seem very patronizing about it, since they didn't ask me to sign anything or had any pamphlets. What they were asking hasn't even happened and they haven't even contacted me at all!

But I mean, yeah, Catamari's opinion is the one that really counts here. My sister was another person who I discussed with on this, but she just said "oh...that's weird". She was neutral about it. They don't know where I live, so there is not much to worry about.

I woke up and the air in my apartment smelled like either strawberry frosted poptarts or strawberry sour punch straws today. I did NOT make any artificial strawberry flavor based products recently.

I then went outside and I smelled it out there too. Then I ran a couple miles down to Lake Michigan, still smelled it.

Sometimes the air will smell fishy or like somebody is burning something, but never strawberries. It was very pleasant, but also very strange.

And thanks to EVA, I've started like myself and that has made me very happy. Mr. Anno, please keep working on EVA a lot more.

Today I had a look at the official Dakar 2016 website (for the South-American rally raid), to see if I could find some pictures of the weather that lead to the cancellation of the first stage. Of course, none of that was found. The site has not even been updated with info about yesterday's accident that left several people injured.

http://www.dakar.com/dakar/2016/us/out-of-race/news-2016.html

However...then I read some of the older news...

There's being boastful about things and there's going too far. Using the word "stupendous" unironically is the latter in most cases.

Then there's this:

Robby Gordon, renowned for his guts and brio, has yet again made a brave choice by picking the passionate, rapacious Sheldon Creed as his teammate.

Are they two drivers, or protagonists in a steamy X-rated yaoi fanfic?

I'm quite sure that several other quotes can be taken equally out of context...especially considering their tendency to use the word "rider" instead of "driver" (even for pilots driving a car)...

So I was translating yet another episode of "paranormal research" reality TV garbage, but this time the episode ended with a startling twist when the adventurer-narrator concluded that aliens weren't responsible and the phenomenon was purely explained by natural causes. Apparently that can happen.

I guess they want me to tell them whether to return the money (about £400 for that lot, as there are three large SSDs in there) or send me the same again.

Thing is, it was actually delivered two days ago...

Ok so last month I pre-ordered Senran Kagura: Estival Versus from Gamestop. The release date is tomorrow. My account was charged last week for it (normal for Gamestop), and it was showing up as pending on my bank's website until today when it... disappeared!? The charge just vanished, and the bank never notified me about it at all. I checked Gamestop.com and my order is still there and hasn't shipped yet, but I never got an email from them about the charge being removed either. WTF?

This has happened to me a couple times too. I've got my books for school ordered, only to get a phone call from Amazon apologizing for losing them.

Did you buy any of these from a third party seller? That could partially explain why.

I like Amazon as a website, and I'd gladly take them over something like Hastings or Ebay. But they really need to fix their issues.

The charge re-appeared on my account today, once again with no explanation. At least the situation seems to have resolved itself.

I went target shooting yesterday! I was able to try out five different pistols (and learned that I like the Beretta M9 and the Sig Sauer P224.) I've never been shooting before, and I thought that since I'm going to be voting this year and I assume gun control is going to be one of the issues, I would not want to vote on restricting access to something that I didn't really have any experience with.

I had a great time. I'd certainly go again.

I've never held a gun, because I'm rather clumsy and thus pretty terrified of them.

A lot of super tasty new vegan outlets opened up in my hometown, and I've checked them out. Man, I never want to eat normal food again.

Guns used to wig me out quite a bit. I don't like being freaked out by stuff, and using a gun seemed like a good way to try to force myself to get over it.

I have a "first class shot" certificate from the cadet corps at school. But that was only with wimpy .22 rifles. I could barely hit the target with a .303 SLR.

Congrats! I'm glad you enjoyed it. My personal sidearm is a Tokarev, but I never actually carry it anywhere. I just haven't felt a need to yet, things are usually really peaceful in my area.
