Let's say at first that I haven't really watched that many animes, maybe fifteen or twenty series but let's try this thing anyway.
1. Evangelion
2. One Piece
3. Samurai Champloo
4. Cowboy Bebop
5. Naruto (haven't watched it since the fillers started)
6. Excel Saga
7. Genshiken
8. Trigun
9. Full Metal Panic? Fumoffu
10. Bleach (haven't watched it since the fillers started)
1. Evangelion
2. One Piece
3. Samurai Champloo
4. Cowboy Bebop
5. Naruto (haven't watched it since the fillers started)
6. Excel Saga
7. Genshiken
8. Trigun
9. Full Metal Panic? Fumoffu
10. Bleach (haven't watched it since the fillers started)
-_-;
10 really is a bit much to ask for, but here goes, in no particular order.
1. Evangelion. More out of curiosity than anything else at this point.
2. The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. Not as a movie, but as an American half-hour sitcom. I think it can be done, with the right adaptations (this would not be a direct translation; there aren't many American high schoolers with names like that, for one thing).
3. Victorian Romance Emma. Ok, I've only seen one episode of this, and no desire for more, but I think it would work better as an English period piece than animated feature.
4. Cowboy Bebop. Do I really need to explain? Also,
5. Samurai Champloo.
6. Kaleido Star. I wouldn't watch it, but I think it would work well.
7. Uchuu no Stellvia. Without the elaborate hairstyles and exaggerated shoujo designs, I think the plot could still carry it through -- maybe.
8. Last Exile. Would be incredibly expensive to do right, but the design elements would translate really well into live-action.
9. Revolutionary Girl Utena. Only so that a wider audience can be scarred by the Utena movie.
10. Cutie Honey. Oh, wait... nevermind. Actually, forget it.
As I look at the list, though, I realize that most of these work so well because of their serial format. They're allowed much more freedom in their storylines, unrestricted by the tight plots a single movie requires. Still, Last Exile and a few others could make really good films.

Awesomely Shitty
-"That purace has more badassu maddafaakas zan supermax spaceland."
-On EMF, as a thread becomes longer, the likelihood that fem-Kaworu will be mentioned increases exponentially.
-the only English language novel actually being developed in parallel to its Japanese version involving a pan-human Soviet in a galactic struggle to survive and to export the communist utopia/revolution to all the down trodden alien class and race- one of the premise being that Khrushchev remains and has abandoned Lysenko stupidity
