I will respect your opinion if you respect mine.

No.

It started out as awesome escapist fantasy.
Descended into supercharged overpowered bullshit.
And then wastes the viewer's time with like eight episodes about incest and fairies.

They would have been better off extending the first 14 episodes into 25 and abandoning the whole ALO arc altogether.

Isn't there a dedicated SAO topic in "Anime and Manga"?

Meh anime series. Best score i could give would be 6.5/10. (Overall)
SAO is God's Gift to man.

Miiiiiiiiiles away from that kind of title.

One would think so. At any rate, (and I will be delving into the light novel here) I think that SAO was pretty strong, since you had that death-game urgent feel. ALO really felt like it lost that urgency. I mean, sure, Asuna and 300 other players were trapped by the evil creeper [s]Gentarou Hongou[/s] Sugo, but it was really weak-sauce in comparison. GGO really brought back that intrigue and urgent feel again, and Alicization is interesting just from a technical perspective as well as still having the "escape the game" factor. Still, I think the WAFF is pretty high in this series, and while it is somewhat appreciated, I think the focus was a bit too much there.

I have to say, the thing in SAO I liked least was Asuna's miscarriage. As though we don't have enough angst.

Why do I feel like those posts would go down in EGF legend?

I still wish every day that I'd seen NGE sooner / found this place sooner. Besides, my newfag status is readily apparent from my registration date.

But seriously, knowing your taste / writing style and the content of the series, your reviews would make for some hilarious reads!

The first arc of SAO where the characters are in SAO ( not in ALO ), it was a great anime..

Then Alfheim Online came into picture and it became all about incest and relationship blues..
(Still a better love story than Twilight )

I recommend the first arc of SAO for entertainment purposes?
It was a really great experience.
The idea is fresh
Music is great ( especially in Boss battles )
I'm a Rei Ayanami fan. :) Mari's second in my heart. My impression of Asuka varies with my mood.. ><

And what about the time Kitaro's sister made out with a singing dog?
