I was going to, but my PC decided to shit out on me.

I have no idea how many different possible endings there are total since some like the 5 Instrumentality ones can happen in various Scenarios among other things. >_<

Closing in on the end of Shinji-1, trying to see how I make Tokyo-3 not blow up.

And why is it so damn hard to get Asuka at NERV? I wanna boost her battle skills by synching with her, but she's hardly around. I have no idea how I'm supposed to protect her during the last battle D:

If Asuka's Eva is defeated during the last battle, it's fine. You can still win if she's not there (it's just if she dies at some point in the game, you can't clear the scenario).

Hope that helps.

EDIT: Also, to train at Nerv, it's best to ask Asuka or Rei to join with you to Nerv, then chances are as you wander around, you can bump into them then ask to train.

That has been my strategy, trying to train with Asuka as much as I can, but she's hardly ever at NERV or when it shows she's there... and I go there, she's already gone. Ah well. I guess I can train with Rei, I think my synch ratio with her is very low... which is unusual for me.

I like Rei :3

Heh.

One thing I forgot to say before: Once you're able to get that 9th special item from the convenience store that maxes out all your stats/skills to level 99 (including synch), not only are you not allowed to train with the other pilots after, but you should also be win pretty easily against the Angels and have an easier time with the Harpies.

Also, once you get to level 99 with your synch, in that next battle, Misato will mention the Magoroku-Exterminate Sword was created and how you can use it from now on. (It's great in that it takes the Angels down in only a few attacks usually. With the MP Eva it takes a bit longer using that, but it's still powerful against them.)

...Interesting, wikipeida mentioned that usually it's attached with a smaller sword that has a gunblade, but I haven't really seen that anywhere. Eva2 ignores that bit I'm guessing, but I have seen clips from some Super Robot Wars games and even played both GoS games where it's supposedly featured. (I...don't remember the sword being there at all.)

Uhm SSD-sama. something..odd happened to me. first of all Ive been persuing Asuka in the default scenario for Shinji, and our orbs are close to each other and almost in the color red. Well. Ive made her blush a few times, but sometimes she acts..cold at me. then on top of that penpen seems to lie me... he comes up with me blushing ant starts warking. oh and the creepy thing. you know when Shinji goes to sleep that sometimes the screen stops beng black and you see him(I always guessed this indicated he wastossing and turning)... Asuka was standing there staring at my sleeping form, then after that when it flashed again Rei and Misato where there additionally to Asuka. please help me Im scared. also, How do I regenerate my Impulse? I seem to not be able to get it up.

EDIT: Awesome I cought Misato teasing me. She walks up and stands REALY close to me when Im not facing her, and if you dont pick the bottom response(blush and stutter) she says something like damn didnt work or something like that. xD

If I had the money I might, there are three games I would get a PSP for, Disgaea, Dissidia, and EVA2: Another Cases.

Soljer13: The PS2 port (if that's what you have) is slightly different from the PSP port (one major difference is the PS2 port has no Impulse feature) so I can't help you there since it's been awhile since I played that version of it.

I've noticed though that when the characters act cold to you if you try to talk to them, it's usually because either you or the character's status needs (WC, eating, drinking, bathing, resting) are somewhat low or dangerously low. Check the status indicator for yourself or that character and take care of your needs or let them run off to do their thing is usually best.

Also, if you go to their room when a character is sleeping, you can comment on them so the other characters were probably doing that to you as well, I think it raises your relationship slightly, or at least gives you some impulse if they're dreaming instead of just sleeping.

With Impulse you can regenerate it in the bathtub/toilet, sitting down somewhere/using that last "space out" option, and standing in front of the bathroom or WC if Misato, Asuka or Pen Pen are in there (you can only do this at Misato's apartment)

For the PSP port: Also, once you get enough money to buy the Unbreakable Heart item (as well as that 10th item that gives you lots of money), you can retrieve as much Impulse as you want that way.

Hope that helps.

NGE2 is kind of cool, but there’s also a lot of wasted potential. Here’s some things that need to be in an eventual revision of the game (as if!):

- NPCs in combat have actual AI
- Ability to contact NPCs (other pilots or Misato) during combat
- Gaghiel reaching land
- Gaghiel acquiring the Adam embryo
- Sandalphon making it out of the volcano
- Matarael has an actual set of moves (things we’ve never seen it do before)
- Arael comes down from orbit and can be engaged up close and personal
- Armisael events from #23’ incorporated, with possibility of seeing Angel Tower, three-way fusion, etc., carried to fruition
- An Angel fusing with Lilith, and Rei NOT interfering
- EoE’s pre-GNR version of 3I carried out to completion
- Kaworu fusing with Eva-02
- Alternate endings have slightly higher regard for the continuity of the game you’re playing.

I bet I’m forgetting a ton of stuff.

For anyone interested: Gendo's two endings from the PS2 version, captured and uploaded by yours truly. But not actually translated as of yet...

A lot more to come, hopefully.

Translated/gave a rough idea of what's being said on your youtube page. Hope it helps!

Here's some more extensive stuff, the meat of what Yui and Gendo say in Bad End. (Yes, Gendo's dialogue is thankfully different from what he says in his Good End).

Gendo: Yui. Our reserved meeting... I've only been waiting and waiting for the day we'd meet again.

Yui: You were scared of other people hurting you, weren't you? You thought to (つわれ, trying to look for the verb form つわる isn't helping) yourself.

Gendo: There is nothing I should do, even for Shinji... I only hurt him.

Yui, standing with the 3 versions of Shinji (boy, child, pilot): Shinji wished for you. He was hurt by you, always...

Gendo: ...I see.

*TANGED!*

Hmm, so nothing entirely new in terms of their discussion, but still interesting nevertheless.

Well, I got all the secret stuff on the psp one, even the f type armor, though its very difficult to get and pretty useless, the only advantages of it are the cool factor, being virtually invencible(as your firepower has no match),and no more berserk.

to get it,do as in the ps2 one
the eva team

gendo team brains/pimpface
ritsuko team cyborg
Misato team berserker
aoba team undead
hyuga team psycho
ibuki psycho stalker

fuyu team badass

I've tried really hard to do the "make Eva-01 go berserk twice" thing (the first step in getting F-Type Armor, AFAIK), and I looked at Japanese FAQs for tips and everything, but I still haven't pulled it off. How did you do it?

yes,its really hard.

of course, you must get berserk time with any of sachiel, shamshel, zeruel, matarael, armisael,or even ramiel.dont remember if it were any more.

the most simple strategy is to pull off your cable until you just have the littlest amount of time you can,and then, get a new cable, then engage the enemy and pull it off and get the beeep of death.

then,as eva-01 goes silent, you must get the enemy to attack you,its the easiest way to go berserk.sometimes just having low time and get shot does it.

the first time it goes berserk,it will be as the sachiel deal
the second time,it will be just like zeruel, and get eated.(I ate ramiel lol)

then you just get the armor in a nerv event,or just gets more complicated.

the complicated way is somewhat different from the series, but cool:
everyone is afraid of eva-01,as it should be,and they are all like "shit just hitted the fan".
then eva-01 gets frozen status,so you cant battle any of the following angels....NOT,when an angel appears, actually, you can go to the cage and do the "Im its pilot"stuff.

then, another event shows kozou and gendoh at the commander offica, fuyutsuki is worried because he foresees that the final battle will be against SEELE and some kind of trump card, most probably the mp evas.
gendoh is just all cool and says:professor akagi is taking care of that.

then the next event haves ritsuko handing you the f-type equipment, that officially is a berserk suppresor, but its clear that it was,in fact, made for defeating SEELE and the mp evas, hence its firepower
the eva team

gendo team brains/pimpface
ritsuko team cyborg
Misato team berserker
aoba team undead
hyuga team psycho

Thanks for the detailed explanation. Hopefully it'll make a difference next time I tackle Shinji's scenario (though apparently Misato's works as well?). By the way, do you know if you have to be in the Geofront to activate the "eat Angel" event, or if it can happen in Tokyo-3 as well?

...Gendo or Ritsuko should have just came up with F-type for Eva-01 and 02 in NGE, considering EoE events. :smirk:

I hope next time I play this game (whenever that is), I can get berserk Eva-01...

By the way, you can't get F-type for Eva-00 or 02, huh?

And there are different options of what to say during the "I'm a pilot" scene, does anything different happen with each response?

I have recently started an LP for it. This should be quite fun, seeing as I don't know any Japanese what-so-bloody-ever.

The first time I ate ramiel, and ramiel just cant enter geofront so easily,so no,you dont need to be there.

and I havent tried with any other eva, since I never thought of them actually getting berserk in this game, and it would just take a great amount of time to try;though I DO know that there are figures of them with the f-type.

I forgot some stuff.
the nearest you are to area zero, the more probabilities are that you will go berserk at an enemy attack.

all what I said has been tested on the psp version.

once you eat an angel, wether yui gets frozen or not,you dont need the umbilical cable anymore, you have a s2 drive.

when you have the f equipment,it seems that, contrary to models or illustrations, you cant grab any weapons;thats why you have the:

impact bolt:the shoulder armors open to fire two spherical bolts, just like in the revoltech.

and the proggressive dagger that is stored in front of its head
the eva team

gendo team brains/pimpface
ritsuko team cyborg
Misato team berserker
aoba team undead
hyuga team psycho
ibuki psycho stalker

fuyu team badass

Of possible interest: I got an emulation going with mixed results.

Before anybody asks, figure out how to legally obtain and get such going, yourself. (Yes, I do own both PS2 and PSP versions; I just have no way of playing either on their respective systems currently.)

The character voices are just fine (I'm just glad I can hear the characters actually speak instead of a weird doubling-over effect. It took quite of bit of tweaking with the settings to get things right; I'm not even sure HOW things got fixed as they did, anyway.) although the background music is barely there and super-laggy. The graphics are rendered pretty so-so (the scenery changes every time Shinji moves around the screen AND his blinking face appears on the nearby walls of the room XD ). In general it's laggy/slow as hell to play through. But I'm happy anyway:
