Live Action Gunbuster

Does anyone know a director, a writer and actors who could do a Gunbuster movie. Gunbuster is a beautiful outstanding work so they have to be absolutely perfect or no deal. With that said they would really have to put a whole lot of effort to make this movie good. I know that live action anime doesn't usually turn out well but we can just try to keep hope alive.

We're getting both Pacific Rim and a The Forever War movie soon. Watch them both over and over in rapid succession and you will eventually hallucinate a live action Gunbuster movie.

Throw 2001 into the mix and you get Evangelion.

And expect until the long waited (by whom?) Evangelion live action before thinking about a Gunbuster live action.

You guys not just directors, cast members as well. I cast Evan Peters as Smith.

Nicolas Cage as Coach, Zoé Héran as Noriko, Sarah Jessica Parker as Onee-sama, Samuel L. Jackson as the guy who says "何?!" directly before the Gunbuster March starts up, Nicolas Cage as Smith and Nicolas Cage as Jung.

Oh, and Nicolas Cage as Kamina in a cameo.

I said that they all have to be perfect. Age, appearance and acting ability all matter.

Are you implying that Samuel L. Jackson isn't a perfect human being?

No I'm implying that Nicolas Cage is not who I would pick for every character in Gunbuster including the female ones.

Did you see Face/Off? Nicolas Cage has the power to change his appearance. He could become a woman if he wants.

I still don't see him as the actor for Gunbuster. Evan Peters is younger and could do the role of Smith much better than Nicolas in my opinion. I'm still looking for actresses who could do Noriko.

You... You're not planning on making a Live-action Gunbuster movie, are you?

It might help if you also looked for actresses.

Okay, I was joking about Jung. And I guess Nicolas Cage should only play one character. Two at most.

Nicolas Cage could be the GunBuster itself.

No but the point of this thread is to list hypothetical writers, directors and cast members for a possible Gunbuster movie.
