oh great, now I feel left out of the loop. What link?
ran1: Oh gosh this sentence gave me an internet boner. You're so tsundere.
Mugwump: Goddamn it, Xard! Take me in your arms, you magnificent sex god bastard!
And don't forget to wear the Ran mask.
Eva Yojimbo: You really are the Otaku equivalent of a Catholic and Jew rolled up into one giant dakimakura of guilt.
Gob Hobblin: Sanctimonious, subtly racist, vaguely misogynist, somehow says something while at the same time saying...nothing, really, at all....

Nice, Xard. That's nice.

It was a link to Nocturne, Opus No. 9.

But here's a better one.

EDIT; Hell yeah, Schubert

I liked that the previous link actually played the piece for you while following along with the sheet music. But even the sheet music alone is appreciated.

The piece itself is beautiful. It could fit the same slot as the Raindrop Prelude.

Shostakovich's Leningrad has a great bombastic-things-fall-apart thing going for it.

Liszt Sonata in B minor

It has a lovely, sad, desolate, apocalyptic feel to it.

This.

It's definitely one of the top songs from the entire series.

RESURRECTING MY OWN THREAD FTW!!!

I'm getting a feeling that the composers might focus on piano music for this installment of Rebuild, what with the giant-rainbow-hologram piano in the old trailer and the Kaworu-Shinji duet in the newest trailer. So here's another piano piece to add to the pot.

Ludwig von Beethoven - Moonlight Sonata

I know that the first movement is the more well-known part of the piece, but I figured I'd just post the whole thing. Could be good BGM for a slow, brooding scene...if there's time for any....

There are plenty of Tchaikovsky pieces that could be neat to see in the movies.

Or Pachabel's kanon in d (again).

"The hardest piece known to man"~piano teacher

Personally I think death waltz is harder... anyway, this would be good as an opening for Q or an ending for 4.

I can see it being played to an expositional scene maybe. That end part always gives me goosebumps too.

I think we've established that anything by Chopin would fit the bill pretty nicely. Man, this is beautiful.
