End Of Evangelion Out Of Print?
I went to town today to pick up my platinium editions. While there, I asked about ordering End Of Evangelion, only to be told it was out of print?
Does anyone have any information on this?

You know, when we have topics like this, people should try to be a little clearer about what DVD region/country they're in. For instance, you two are both in England if I remember.
That being said, I believe Manga is probably only making the boxset in the US as well. And the "mousepad" they include is completely worthless.

I don't exactly remember. Saw one once at Otakon last year, and there might be a picture of it in the Otakon recap thread. The main problem is that it is the same dimensions as a standard DVD case.
Edit: Sure enough, here's a photo:

Also how can a DVD be out of print....its not like you can read them!
I guess there's no reason to make up a new term for "the copyright holder stopped manufacturing it," especially when a lot of DVDs (and other media) have ISBNs.
Yeah, Sachiel has the mousepad.
It would look nicer framed them used for a mouse.

LOL. Yeah, that was taken during our lunch at Otakon 2005. I think "dsrngwsdm" bought that copy with the mousepad. He had all the goodies with him that day including the engraved Nerv iPod.

Whatever the case, Manga Entertainment survives by pushing their DVDs in great volume. They survive not by licensing and producing titles, but by getting every damn person to buy a copy of Ghost in the Shell and The End of Evangelion. Don't worry, I'm sure it's just a mistake. That or Manga has given us more ammunition to hate them.

I can tell you that Manga Entertainment renewed their license just recently, and there's some rumor of possibly seeing a remasted EoE release in conjunction with all the 10th Anniversary stuff floating around.
I have seen a lot of both EoE and Rebirth around where I shop
I have too much anime, yet it's not enough. Anime Addict, if it were a drug; I'd be dead.
