New Docomo phone from 3.0

Just like 2.0, looks like a new phone from Docomo is in the works for 3.0. Here's a link to the article off the Evangelion facebook page.

Want one, but I wonder if it will work outside of Japan. I am willing to bet that Anno will include this phone in 3.0 as a bit of promotion.

Thats what I figured, it would either be sim locked or carrier restricted.

Docomo will unlock them for you, you need to sign something and pay like $40. There are also other ways to unlock but you need to buy a special SIM. I don't know if hypersims work on these new phones though.

Still not going to be easy to get one, they really want you to go to a store to buy them and typically with Docomo, it's a 24 month contract where you must use that phone.

The interface looks surprisingly good but the back makes the phone itself look like a silly toy.
