I tend to read the reviews on GamesRadar.

Destructoid, Jim Sterling specifically.
www.destructoid.com

They cover a lot of indie stuff, and their 8+/10 reviews have generally been spot on.

I tend to trust anyone from Eurogamer or Edge.

If you don't mind some rambling pretentiousness in your reviews, Action Button Dot Net might also be worth checking out. The reviews there tend to be hit-or-miss - some of them are just rambling, self-important bullshit, but others are extremely insightful. Many are both.

I tend to stay away from video game reviewers in general. If I do end up watching a review it will be strictly for gameplay. It's all opinion and I like to form my own.

Zero Punctuation is hilarious though.

I'm still using CoD 4 as a coaster, but now we're back to that whole opinions thing.

Actually the last CoD I actually enjoyed was World at War and from the reviews that I remember it didn't fare that well.

Not very good is being nice to them.

Consider this a 'Fix': Rolling Stone magazine is good (at least in my country), however their site articles/reviews are generally average or abysmal. IGN is okay for news, but you should get your game reviews from somewhere else.

I recommend checking out out the Australian review programme Good Game. If you prefer reading print reviews, or something more comprehensive, I strongly recommend reading PC Powerplay.

Good Game got terrible after they got rid of Junglist and replaced him with a girl, and a robot.

PC Gamer, loyal subscriber since 2001, still have the 100th issue somewhere. They were a lot more fun when the Vede was around, but their reviews remain as keen as ever.

For online availability, there's always Rooster Teeth, though they're pretty much there for the obvious and general wackiness.

IGN is the Anime News Network of the gaming press. (That actually might be a bit hard on ANN.)

Personally, for news I go to Joystiq, Siliconera and NeoGAF; for opinions, I go to Eurogamer, Edge, NeoGAF, Metacritic, my friends, and occasionally the "NGJ Trifecta" (Insertcredit, Actionbutton and Selectbutton).

What's your guy's opinion of gametrailers reviews? And what about screwattack?

IMO Gametrailers is okay, but nothing special; Screwattack is thoroughly lovable and occasionally hilarious, but I wouldn't exactly look to them for serious opinions or analysis.

For screwattack, I can agree with you. I find the Video Game Vault and their Top 10 lists hilarious! :toothy:
