Given Yukarin's previous statements about 2015 being "a year of farewells", I don't think it's either a retire-at-40 thing, nor that she's carrying Nana's baby. Alas.

I don't know nothing about this route but fans were very happy when they learned that HF will be animated. They have been asking it since the end of Fate/Zero.

Seems like Sakura has many fans. I still don't have on opinion about her, since in Fate/Zero and Fate Stay Night her role is very small.

I don't wish to spoil. But Heavens Feel is easily the most tragic of the three routes. I prefer Unlimited Blade Works personally.

That goes along with what i heard. People thought that a movie/ova would do this route more justice, due to the content it has, otherwise (in case it was a TV series) they would have to edit/cut a lot of stuff.

As long as Gil is in, i am okay.

Please have less CG crowds of soldiers!
I know that resorting to CG is unavoidable when half the show is massive battles, but I wish the director could, I don't know, make it less noticeable? Better directing in general would probably do this show wonders. It's especially saddening because the theme represented is so unusual in anime, but the first season was just so average. I don't know if the source material is any good but I think the show deserves better.

Lets hope this second season is better than the first.

I'm surprised it's getting a whole new season, as there didn't seem to be much buzz about it and most of the plot threads could be wrapped up in a movie or, at most, a few OVAs. But if they've found a way to flesh things out so much the better.

I'm curious about SHAFT's Fate series - maybe this Fate will be actually good-looking.
So does anybody know what's it about? I really hope it's more in the veins of Kara no Kyoukai and less of Fate's tendency of figures devoid of character standing around shouting teenager-philosophy and battle each other. So less Shounen, more Seinen.

As much as I like Susumu Hirasawa's trademark style, I'm not really shure, it'll work for Berserk.
Also, why has poor Berserk always the bad luck to be animated whenever technology is clearly still in its infancy?

:uhh: .... Umm, this statement confuses me as Hirasawa did the ENTIRE OST of the original 90's Berserk anime, I'm not sure how it would work without him!

That said, the use of CGI greatly disappoints me as it looks fairly shabby in that trailer, but I'll watch it anyways, maybe it'll look better in the show itself.
I mean, predictability is the central attraction and the narrative hook that we've all come to expect from the Evangelion franchise. How come Anno can't realize this? Twice? - FreakyFilmFan4ever

Oh, you caught me there. I didn't know. I just know his music from his splendid work he did on the Satoshi Kon music. Never stroke me as something to be heard in a raw tale that is Berserk.

While it was ok for me in Kara no Kyoukai, the filters they lay on the image don't work for me at all. They always come of gaudy to me.
The few parts I've seen from Fate/Night look really atrocious, though, because of the Heavy use of 3D CGI and a even heavier use of filters.
They really seemed to have ramped them up to 11. Also the actually rather distinct character designs are not to my tastes at all. And for Fate/Night they somehow got really weird. The art for Heaven's Feel I like, though.
I can acknowledge that they do good work, it just happens that they do too much stuff that bothers me. It's just the opposite of my taste. I don't like gaudy, overbearingly melodramatic, teenage-angst driven narratives, nor visuals that support that - but this is what this show is about, so it's all right, I guess.

I see. I agree with some points you made. Overall, i really like their style because it looks (and maybe is?) high quality. My main complain is that sometimes it may look generic and simple but i wouldn't say it's bad animation.

It definitely is high-quality animation. It's just very safe high-quality animation. I'm the guy who is excited for animation that breaks the mold, rather than polish it to the extreme. This is a matter of personal preference, though. And if the narrative would interest me at all, I guess I wouldn't be that bothered by it.

To each it's own. I think it's great that it exists, and I'm happy that it is such a successful franchise that entertains many people. I'm just not into it.

I'm watching it right now so I'm not sure what this is about. Maybe episode 3?

Edit: huh. My copy has hardcoded Chinese subs with a slipshod English job written over it. That's really weird; the episode is clearly available raw (hence the original sub job), so why would the earthquake stop fansubs for this particular title?

The tardiness it took in announcing just one actress for the English dub of Cross Ange, it's embarassing :um: :

I apologize for my outburst, I know it was immature. Just felt peeved that they waited so long to give just one name from the English dub cast about a month away from release in the states. But hey, if Ruri-Ruri/Quon Kisaragi makes the scene where Salia gets spanked by Embryo-sama delightful, i'll give it a pass:
