Somewhat related to the anime thread, check this out, folks: http://www.1up.com/news/persona-fighting-game-headed-consoles-persona-4-vita

Pretty excited at the thought of a fighting game, I hope Yukari and Chie could duke it out. (Chie would win though. ^^; )

It amuses me how the new character for the remake is named Mary (hurr Mari) but now I have an excuse to buy a Vita. And a PS3.

I'm glad that it sounds like Atlus is at the helm of both, otherwise I'd be concerned they'd suck.

I can't wait for these~

I saw this earlier today an I'm happy that the fighting game is coming out on the 360. I'm looking forward how it turns out.

Also included in the fighting game is an actual storyline (taking place two months after Persona 4) and characters from P3, such as Aegis, which I guess is an interesting way of confirming that the two games are related in some sense. Couple this with a combat system being designed by the BlazBlue team, and music created by Shoji Meguro...

I just bought a 3DS, and had assumed that P4P would come out for that system (Atlus already announced they would be releasing an unspecified Persona game for it). I am very rage at this news. Hopefully P4P goes multiplatform.

I plan to get a Vita for P4P since I have yet to play Persona 4. Not to mention I can pick up the past three Persona games on the PSP since the Vita can play them. I hope Persona 5 will be on the Xbox 360 as well.

You seriously thought that the 3DS is capable of running even P3P?

P4P. As in, an unannounced (but expected) title for an unannounced (but expected) platform.

On a different topic, I wouldn't be at all surprised if Persona 5 is handheld-exclusive (c.f. Dragon Quest, Shin Megami Tensei).

I used P3P because P4P is obviously going to be more intense on the hardware than P3P.
And the 3DS´s hardware doesn´t even surpass the PSP-1000.

My hopes are that this will somehow keep with the general style of SMT and reference P4's gameplay directly, like including the option to actually spam Dekunda or swap Personas mid-battle. Or have Souji switch to Victory Cry Kaiwan for a "finishing" move that restores his entire life bar. Of course, all of this would work completely differently in a fighting game environment over an RPG one, but I'd crack up seeing the first ten seconds of every fight between human players being spent using buff moves.

(I fully expect to be disappointed, but I'll love it anyway)

I thought the 3DS had a bigger hardware then the PSP since Super Street Fighter 4 on the 3DS look and played the same that it did on the 360 and PS3? I'm pretty sure it could able to play Persona 3 Portable?

Um... what? You might want to read up on hardware specs, my friend. (or, hell, just look at some 3DS games in action)

There is now a common platform website for all Persona games
PERSONA PORTAL
http://p-atlus.jp/
I never thought I would come back to Evangelion after EoE,
But I discovered Re-Take (or it found me?) and
now here I am.

Just for the record,I'm fairly certain the 3DS is between the Wii and Xbox 360 in terms of graphics/processing power, while the PSP is slightly below the PS2, and the PSV looks to be just below the PS3.

I think the PSV appears to be equal to the PS3 and 360 hardware since I remember Capcom said the PSV version of Street Fighter X Tekken looks and plays the same as the PS3/360/PC version.

I still personally would like to see a HD collection of Persona 1-4 on the PS3 and 360 soon.
