A trailer for Sonic Generations came out a few days ago. It shows off re-imagined zones from the classic era including Green Hill (Sonic the Hedgehog), Chemical Plant (Sonic the Hedgehog 2) and Sky Sanctuary (Sonic & Knuckles) and uses a remix of the theme from Sky Sanctuary. It looks average for a remake, I'd play the originals anyday so I care not for this-

METAL SONIC

LIKE IN SONIC CD
STARDUST SPEEDWAY

If that short shot is from a re-imagining of Stardust Speedway, it'll be the first time in years that Sega has actually treated Sonic CD with the same level of respect as the original trilogy. If so, I call right now that it'll fail spectacularly in any attempt to capture the feeling of that classic sequence.

...
Edit: Actually, forget anything I said above about some other game because a new version of Sonic CD is coming to XBLA, PSN, PC, iOS and other mobile phones in Q4 2011. It'll apparently include widescreen graphics to utilise the spin-dash physics from Sonic 2, the original Japanese soundtrack (the American soundtrack is currently not planned for the release due to lisencing issues, Sega is looking into a solution - I hope they find one) as well as achievement and trophy support and iOS features.
Apparently it was on showcase at Xbox booths at PAX Prime 2011 - haven't read anything about whether it was good or not. Since this is a port made from scratch using the Retro Engine, I have no idea if it'll play and feel like the original. I guess we'll find out when it comes out.

Played a demo of the first Act of Green Hill Zone. They somehow made it better than the original. And I thought Black Knight was going to be the last good Sonic game.

I don't have it, but I've only tried the 3DS version.

I liked it.

I swore to myself that I would never play a Sonic game again in my life. I used to be a rabid fan, I collected nearly all the games and crap I could find, but one day my love for Sonic suddenly died and I ended up trading the games for $$ at GameStop, and I burned all the comics too, they were cheap anyway, only 2 bucks or less.

Awww man, don't go there >.> Yea Mario is okay and i don't hate him, but i feel like his games are all the same. Like how many more Mario Parties, Kart Racing games do we need to see? :ehh: And I do know that Sonic had his ups and downs, sadly, more downs, i still love the fanbase for what it is. Even though every fanbase has it's crazy people, and sadly they're everywhere in the sonic world :(

Actually, I was talking about the main series games, not spin-offs.

But anyways, this might give everybody a chuckle or two.

No no no!! Legend of Zelda all the way! (though it's still Nintendo, and same creator, but it's still far superior to both Mario and Sonic, IMO)

That means you like every Sonic game.

my least favorites were Sonic Riders and Sonic Rush Adventure, SRA because it had that dumb Marine.

Oh christ, I'd totally forgotten about that abominable game, it's so awful that I forgot to put it in my list of least favorite Sonic games.

Besides, I never really liked Shadow, and the game itself is confusing.

"MARIAAAA!!!" that's all Shadow cares about.

Labyrinth, Colours, and Unleashed are the games I don't like.

Yes, this means I like Heroes, Shadow, and '06. Deal with it.
