I just wanted to say this movie got me into Anime. Before that I thought all animation was non-violent stuff like Pixar and disney movies, and stuff like Pokemon. That anime chapter 3 in Kill Bill pretty much got me into stuff like Neon Genesis.

Also I heard a long time ago that a Kill Bill anime was being produced. and it was the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad's missions, etc. befores the movies took place. That would kick ass 8)

the anime kill bill was supposed to be about bill and how he got to be who he was in the movies, but most likely this is just another tarantino idea that ultimately won't end up going anywhere as much of what he talks about doing never happens.

I just hope that not too many people saw the animated bit in Kill Bill vol 1 and thought that at all representative of anime as we know it, animatino quality and style, and in content.

naw I knew there was other anime out there that wasen't so violent and stuff, but what I meant was it led to a lot of really great, but violent and grim animes like Neon Genesis, Elfen Lied, etc.

You all liked Kill Bill? Now go watch a couple of Shaw Brothers movies and Lady Snowblood to see the real fucking thing. No insult to Tarantino, as Kill Bill is a great, fun piece of grindhouse expliotation inspired cinema, but the films that he stole all his ideas from are even better. Still, Kill Bill is to 70s cult cinema as Indiana Jones is to 40s adventure serials.

Meh. Never liked Tarantino anyways. As for the thing that got me into anime, it was Sailor Moon.
