Yeah, but it would make more sense to insert a "please"(or rather a "bitte") like they did in the translation of what Kyoko actually says, since its a mother talking to her kid. It's like calling your four year old son "Sir"/ makes it sound less emotional.

I understand that they can't take German courses just for a few words, but was it to hard to just... ask someone? They got the English right (expect for when Yamadera's involved) and there's even correct RUSSIAN in rebuild... (or well, I was told it's correct. I have no clue)

I mean, I know it's not realist to expect them tp speak/pronounce it correctly, but written text, expecially a few simple words, is something you can just look up, copy and paste.

Oh, snap. The monkey is literally bisected/destroyed by the Eva. That's just great.

Other good shots, just for shits and giggles.

Really starting to understand why Gainax wanted 1 mil. for the rights to this. This movie has ridiculous production depth. Think this next one is an Eva 01 figure.

These ones are just awesome. I think they are some of Shinji's fears.

This compounded with this:

And that's about it. Others include Gendo doing his angle walk and Misato looking down at Shinji before the end of the sequence arrives, as well as the First Cranial Nerve ward sign and Eva 01 lunging at something. Those are uninteresting and only have 2-3 frames at best.

Just out of interest, are these randomly chosen frames in this scene or are they exactly sequential as they appeared? As in theres no "in betweeners". Either way, thanks for going through that tedious effort share these with us.

Since these frames appear to give new content (am i right?), could we speculate more evangelion mindfuckery?

There is a collection of 3,000+ frames of the EoE "flashing sequences" floating around, and here it is.

It might be interesting to sort all these onto a timeline as they seem to be parallel to events that occur during the series. Especially noteworthy images are the heavily software-edited ones (the distorted Rei) and those that persist in the background (the monkey, SDAT, Asuka, Misato).

Is that "ad infinitum shocked face" Shinji or Misato?

Also, thanks! Now I shall finally glimpse upon the images which are usually too fast for me!

...Is this the tape-on-the floor from EoTV?! And the "scetch images"...
And actual profuction scetches... Also, that famous "Yui with little Shinji" artwork...

Also, a smiling, dark haired Rei. (With towel!Asuka in the BG. She doesn't smile so often, so i should recognize that pic if it had been in the regular series... could be an artwork with a color filter, tough )

I'm not even counting the pop art Gendos animore...

Also, I whish I could see the pictures in the "sexy scene"... one by one, not all mixed up. Like that, you can't discern anyone, you just see a lot of crotches... which was probably the intention anyway.

Most of these ppl don't seem to be any particular EVA chicks - Except for the Rei and Asuka Silhouettes, of course. These are the ones that Shinji finds the smexiest of all, after all XD
Unlike the ones from the opening, tough, these Silhouettes are colored and have faces, tough...

This right here is a complete validation for the existence of the Commentary project. We need a frame-by-frame line-up and analysis of these shots.

I remember pointing out

Image

semi-recently to somebody during my NGE/EoE rewatch, but yeah, the images are pretty crazy shit when you go through them frame-by-frame. No wonder it can put somebody in a screwed up mental state as they watch.

Kendrix: The creepy "baby doll" images from DC22' are supposedly an aborted fetus, if I'm remembering a discussion about the Script correctly. Screwed up, huh?

Film Scratch Kitty was mentioned before by NaveryW http://forum.evageeks.org/viewtopic.php?t=3421 , but still, nice to see all these images discussed in one place.

Now this one is just insane with the image blending! It has the sunset image from Episode 24' in the background, along with Misato from Episode 07 and Asuka from Episode 16! http://i1041.photobucket.com/albums/b411/Kazuo_takada/654363653636543.png

I admit, I loled at this one (and when I noticed the "sex"/scream one on my own): http://i1041.photobucket.com/albums/b411/Kazuo_takada/654363645364.png

Every time you watch EoE...

...An Angel gets clipped wings.

First thing that came to mind when I saw the thread title was that phrase, said in Zuzu's voice from "It's a Wonderful Life." Which in the context of NGE, sounds really really creepy. O_o

RE: Freeze-frames: I'm so glad we've got that database... I figured I'd have to go back through frame-by-frame at some point because I caught glimpses of some weird stuff. It's nice to have discussion and explanation around it.

Aborted Fetus...? *shudder* Please allow me to keep thinking it's a creepy Doll - maybe that's what Asuka sees in dolls...

Or well, her mother tried to kill her (well, she killed something she thought was Asuka)... isn't that something of a retroactive abortion?
You think "unwanted child" and "killed by mother" and then, you get that associations...
If it's meant to be that, they made it accurately creepy. Still, those images are VERY disturbing... but tell me, what exactly does the script say?

About the images and the commentary project - some of them are just psychedelic images for psychedelic image's sake, but there ARE some gems hidden in there...

I'm actually more interested in the walking guy because it looks like live action footage. At what spot exactly is that in the episode?

It comes in the form of flashing images after Asuka stomps on her unfortunate plushie.

Stupid subliminal messaging, invading my mind and attempting to force me to buy figurines.

And the Third Impact scene just got even more awesome just when I thought it couldn't possibly do so.
