im sure that live action evangelion would be some sort of occidental film, so well, this is simple, what are they going to do with sex in the movie??? and im not talking about mature sex scenes with Kaji and Misato...im talking about the fourty year old sex things, like, well, when...im not gonna enter in details but the entire series are full of this things

Well, you won't have to worry about the masturbation thing, seeing as though if they stick to the story, Asuka won't even be in this one.

Besides, if it does happen, I hope they don't sugar coat it by removing the nudity. They probably would though, just because it would be harder for the film to make a profit without a PG rating.

I'm assuming that in Australia, PG is the equivalent to an American PG-13, because there are very few movies released today which earn an American PG, and Evangelion most certainly would not be one of them. G-rated films have become as rare as the dodo.

There are ways to skirt around the nudity of the children; it doesn't affect the story in any significant way. One might argue that the entire Gendo-glasses scene is completely disposable; other than further revealing a connection between Rei and Gendo, what purpose does it serve? I'm not sure what the MPAA's policy on child nudity is if it is brief and distant; though regardless of what they might have to say, some of the viewing public are so bent on removing any trace paedophilic semblance that they deem the depiction of any young teen's "objectionable" body parts (like an ass, which, really, you see all the time and serves no reproductive function) "child pornography". At least that seems to be the case in the US. Apparently, so many Americans are so obsessed with having sex with young teens, we can barely afford to look at them.

But I can't shake the feeling that this topic has been discussed before.

Six. Most likey it will relate the events of the first six episodes. And really, keeping in mind the "pressing importance" of the nude Rei scene, there's nothing even remotely objectionable in that part of the story. It flows like the emotional equivalent of a buddy picture. I don't remember Little Man Tate, but my vague recollection seems like the closest comparison--with action, of course.

well, if everybody casts their minds back to alien(s) 3, there is a naked teenage girl --the one that they crack the chest open of. breasts in full veiw.

and a australian pg is the same as everybody elses pg rating and i doubt anybod outside of america knows what the chufff a G rating is. america's rating system is on it's arse, apart from the fact that potentially any age range can see any film they want weither it be a U or an R.

America’s PG-13 rating is about equivalent to Australia’s M-15+.

Hopefully, the movie will at least get an MA-15+ rating over here. The ‘fuck with your mind’ scenes the series has to offer could be really great if they go all out…

Although this does bring into question how they are going to treat Kaworu’s relationship with Shinji. I can’t imagine that they could possibly omit this character, although I can imagine that they’ll sugar-coat any implications of homosexuality…

Let me put it this way: Pirates of the Carribean and Spider-Man both got PG-13. There is no way in hell Evangelion will get anything lower.

If it's not outdated...

With the nude scenes, most likely would they cover up Ayanami's vaginal area in the Dummy Control System's Central Core, with one of those bindings around the glass case Ayanami floats in.
And, for the Room of Gauf, eh, I don't know.
Maybe they'd put them all in a straight line, soulless, emotionless, and just standing or floating, with the same concept as the other one.

Oh boy... That would be a bloody scene.
But the liquid is LCL, which is that of an orange liquid substance, that humans can breathe in.
So, the blood would most likely be concealed in the orange, except, tinting the liquid darker, and the body parts would just be maimed, inhumanely out of nowhere.

But, none of those will take place, unless Pheonix Feet is wrong about the movie being set in Episodes 1-6.
