Other organizations in NGE

Are Nervs rival companies names ever explicitly stated in any material from the universe/extended universe? Like the ones that made Jet Alone, or the T-riden-t land cruisers? Would it be suitable to just make up the names of the rival companies for role playing if they are never stated? (ADEVA) What are some cool names for companies you can think of that would mesh well into the NGE universe?

I noticed that most of the organizations mean something in German, Seele-soul; Nerv-nerv; Gehirn-brain. Do you think this is just because they are jsut different branches of the same company? When making a rival company would it be unwise to follow this naming pattern?

I thought Sinn would be a good name for an organization. I was trying to look for German words that were short and not too hard to pronounce. Something that if you didn't explicitly look up you wouldn't have known was German.

Shouldn't this be in the FF forum? And why should military organisations have "weird/symbolic" names? NERV & co have theirs because they're founded by conspirationists.

Apart from "Sinn" (meaning "sense"), I would suggest the following:

- "Geist" ("spirit")
- "Gesetz" ("law")
- "Recht" ("right" - as in "it's his right")
- "Herz" ("heart")
- "Blut" ("blood")
- "Moral" ("moral" - as in "the moral of the story")
- "Ader" ("vein")
- "Wille" ("will" - as in "the will to live")
- "Leben" ("life")
- "Leib" or "Körper" ("body")
- "Muskel" ("muscle")

Bear in mind that in proper German every noun starts with a capital letter.

I'm sorry, I was confused, I thought that this would be the place to ask if there were any other cannon organizations that were named and ended up tacking on another question. Is there any way that I can move the thread or does a mod have to do it? Also thanks for the suggestions! Those are all great and I'll probably end up using them <3
