A Call for Greater Participation (Polish the popular pages!)

Okay, listen up~! (Whoever actually reads the Editorium, that is.)

Right now, the Wiki is a poorly maintained pile of shit with some high quality content content scattered here and there. We, on the other hand, are the most active English-speaking Evangelion community currently in existence (that I'm aware of). The Wiki is how a lot of people find this place, and it's a reflection of us. What it basically says is that almost all of the users from the associated forum just sit around waiting for the next movie installment without "giving back" what they know and have learned to our organized compendium of information.

What does that say about us? What's keeping most of the users here -- who have lots of Eva-related things that they're knowledgeable about -- from participating in the Wiki? It's something worth thinking about.

I've been working on Wiki updates lately, but it's very slow-going, lonely work. Hence, I would like to appeal to the locals for help updating, expanding, and polishing up our most-visited pages (to start with):

- The 2.0 page is one of our most-visited, and it is positively in shambles. I haven't been able to tend to it yet, but this should probably be a priority.

- And others:

http://wiki.evageeks.org/Kaworu_Nagisa
http://wiki.evageeks.org/Mari_Makinami_Illustrious
http://wiki.evageeks.org/Rebuild_of_Evangelion
http://wiki.evageeks.org/Evangelion_Unit-01
http://wiki.evageeks.org/Shinji_Ikari
http://wiki.evageeks.org/Evangelion_Unit-05
http://wiki.evageeks.org/Lilith
http://wiki.evageeks.org/Evangelion_Unit-02
http://wiki.evageeks.org/Misato_Katsuragi
http://wiki.evageeks.org/Evangelion_1.0:_You_Are_%28Not%29_Alone

(Note that with some of these, the Rebuild stuff is currently split to a separate page (no idea why OMF did that), which I'll be merging back in to the articles pending a more elegant solution.)

This has nothing to do with that /a/ thread Xard linked to, I presume?
"Now, from Nature we obtain abundant information about ourselves, and precious little about others. About the woman you clasp in your arms, can you say with certainty that she does not feign pleasure? About the woman you mistreat, are you quite sure that from abuse she does not derive some obscure and lascivious satisfaction? Let us confine ourselves to simple evidence: through thoughtfulness, gentleness, concern for the feelings of others we saddle our own pleasure with restrictions, and make this sacrifice to obtain a doubtful result." -The Divine Marquis

"I agree Hans, but we have talked about those anal fisting analogies." -Werner Herzog

I'm beginning to think that it might be worth copying and pasting portions of the CI into their respective articles as a starting point until the information has been elegantly integrated. Or make a template for it.

Why? If information from the CI is referenced, all that's required is to put a citation linking to the subsection on the CI's resource page. There's no reason to copy and paste.
