I know someone said something like this in a different topic, but I wanted to talk about it in a different thread plus a discussion of another anime series.

Is it me or some of the characters in Great Teachers Onizuka looks like dead ringers of some of the Eva characters. For example one of Onizuka's student, Noboru Yoshikawa, looks like Shinji, and Anko Uehara looks like Asuka, but less crazy. There also a scene in the manga(I forgot what volume it is ><) where Miyabi looks like Rei and Oni was crying for joy!

Another series that well you can say inspire by NGE is Yuu Watase's Ceres, Celestial Legend aka Ayashi no Ceres. While the story surrounds an angel named Ceres I came to notice about the plans of C-project lead by Kagami Mikage. Abuse has a child Kagami's goal is to 'clean' humanity with the use of the angel, or Tennyo, like Ceres and the use of a special clothing called a Hagoromo. The Hagoromo is their version of Adam.

I'm not good on theories, but if i'm wrong at lease one subject that I pointed out well let me know and slap me in the face. BTW if I posted at the wrong section please put it at the right place. Thank you.

People insist that RahXephon was not an Eva ripoff. If that wasn't an Eva ripoff, then I have to disavow any similarities brought forth, especially character designs. Because let's face it: so many look like them, and they look like so many.

_you can't do anything, so don't even try
_get some help
_don't do what sonic does

RahXephon did take some elements from NGE I tell you that muc, and people who say RahXephon is not a eva ripoff just a bit are kidding themselves
I have too much anime, yet it's not enough. Anime Addict, if it were a drug; I'd be dead.

Er, can I get pictures of the characters?

Maybe the artist that drew the characters was also the artist for Evangelion?
The artist wanted to bring a little bit of an Evangelion touch into the characters perhaps?
