I'm catching up with the new prison school chapters, I'm at the point where a girl in a cat outfit is tumbling inside cardboard for a race (???) and has a dude running alongside her, their problem is they swapped underwear and have to fix that in front of everyone. Idk

" T-REX NA KANOJO
The premise to this one is: what if dinos evolved alongside humans and adapted human-like features?
MC is our human character and the female lead is a tsundere T-rex girl who is freaking adorable, there really isn't much to say about this series because its mostly just a gag manga but i enjoy it, check it out."

This actually stands on its own, the monster girls I've seen are kind of creepy and prone to violent slapstick over and over and over, ofc this is super goofy comedy stuff but has a rigidity like "no videogames" or "no relying on violent slapstick", they kind of look like college people and I smirked to the glass door gag.
Idk what a tsundere is.

" I didn't either as I'm reading the English Dark Horse tanks. Good to know the end is in sight though. Easily one of my favourite comics of the past few years and tops Nihei's Blame! and
BIOMEGA"
I don't really care about the narrative in nihei things. It'd be missing out on blame

I've tried Plunderer because it gave me Jing: King of Bandits vibes and got nostalgic. Obviously it was no such thing as jing and I don't care anymore to the point I don't want to talk about it:c

The basic setup is an average Schlub finally works up the nerve to talk to a girl he likes. Problem is, right before he does, she poses for a Swimsuit spread in a magazine to try and get publicity for her career as a model and an actress. Now every horny teenage boy in his high school is queuing up to hit on her. How does he prove his feelings are honest when the girl of his dreams is shooting down everyone who comes her way? Made even more complicated by a childhood friend returning from America, and several other students trying to get photos of the love of his life naked.

Fun romantic comedy. . . but it strikes me as more of an excuse to draw girls in sexy outfits than as a desire to do anything substantial with the basic rom com setu;.

I bought this Manga purely because the art seemed more realistic than your average Shonen, and it definitely is. though it falls short of the Standards set by other Shonen and Seinen.

Katsura always draws excellent Cheesecake. But the story is your typical love triangle romance soap opera anime.

I'm actually reading this on a scanlation site right now. The storyline is way too soapy for my tastes, and the art borders on soft-core porn too often. Also, the point I'm at right now made me want to scream "Iori, you can say "NO!" if you don't want to be groped/stripped by your boyfriend" (especially since she's had some pretty nasty stuff happen to her earlier). C- for female-friendliness.

Well I've read pretty much every Kago Shintarou manga that's been translated.

I like the one that poses whether you would rather fuck the left of half of a girl or the right. Also the princess in Korokoro Soushi is <3.

Reading the Saikano manga at the moment. It's just as good as the anime. Been putting it off for a long time.

I've been a fan of Rurouni Kenshin for a very long time (around 2001 is when I became obsessed with it), but I never read the manga -- my love for the series comes from the anime. So I finally decided to read the manga and see if it's better or not.

I started reading jyoshikohei pn13 again. I stopped around volume four because suddenly a man is sodomized and I'm not into all the eva queer/feminized men and schoolgirls and mechas to begin with, hell it took some self motivation to give this a shot and it's like explicit and gory evangelion or evangelion for adult maniacs but....wow. The action. I already posted a link about it but it's a miracle of the universe and I have no idea why I don't see the same tension in shooters. UT99's Deck16 was there but unless I change all the configurations in every game? Nha this needs to be in some map.

The comparison to Deck16 sold me
"The will to lose one's will?"
"Absolutely. The will to make oneself completely free. Will is the wrong word, because in the end you could call it despair. Because it really comes out of an absolute feeling of it's impossible to do these things, so I might as well just do anything. And out of this anything, one sees what happens."--Francis Bacon

To be fair it's because early deck16 is 100% grey and subject to different light colours, it was something to decorate with guts. The following versions are too dirty for that

UQ Holder!
Akamatsu celebrates chapter 100 by filling it with what he’s best at: a bath-scene filled with multiple girls fighting over a single boy.
The last two chapters have been dealing with Kuromaru’s gender identity, seems they’re going for the female route- because loving a boy obviously means you’re female, right?
This one development -part of a side-story, no less- has already been infinitely more interesting than anything else the story has thrown up before it.
This comic is such a train wreck its gone 540 degrees on me. It’s purely a guilty pleasure now and there’s no denying it.

Inside Mari chp 61. Looks like we may be approaching an endgame. Since the masturbation… um… incident, the shock content has essentially disappeared from the story. All that’s left now is to see where Komori’s soul ends up.

Yamada-Kun and the Seven Witches chp 183. We bid farewell (sort of) to four characters, shrinking the overall cast by about… 4%
Still feels like the writer is making it up as they go, but still an enjoyable weekly read.

Is it any better? I really really liked the anime but I'm not that big of a manga guy so I never bothered to read it same with a ton of other shows I've seen. Saw it under the title Samurai X and I prefer that dub over Steve Blum (or whatever name he went under for it) and the gang.

I'm going to want to know how the characters in Bokura ga Ita develop after the end of the anime, so I've ordered a copy of the manga. More later!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It arrived (shame about the library stickers on some of the spines, but some vols cost only £0.01p). Though I've glanced at it on line, the books are so much better to read. And it's clear that the meat of the story is in the second half - the part covered by the anime was just setup, even though some of it was intense. Among other things, it's a fine exposition of that poem by Philip Larkin starting "They fuck you up, your mum and dad". I've not finished yet, but it's hard to put down.

(I also watched the second live action movie; it explains things quite well, but ultimately simplifies some stuff too much, especially the last scene. Mildly disappointing.)

Finally, the end of Claymore, which I'd picked up following the anime series (and its own anime-original ending), and have continued somewhat out of habit as it went into ever greater levels of "now, top that" in the intervening time. At least it wrapped up most of the plot threads, even though a significant one introduced in the latter half was left to dangle.

Dracula Everlasting

I looked this up purely because Linkara recommended it, and I did not regret it in the slightest. It's easy to just write this off as another prettyboy Vampire Manga like Rosario Vampire or Vampire Knight, given the art style. But it actually has a lot more in common with Fright Night, and the Original Dracula than it does with Twilight.

Taking place in modern day Boston. Nicolas Harker has recently lost his parents in a devastating car crash, and has been left in charge of the estate, with money to burn and possessions to flaunt. But all he wants is comfort in this depressing part of his life. He becomes close to Jill Hawthorne the daughter of his lawyer, who takes him in to avoid having to see him sent into the care of the state, and they investigate the many antiques left to him in his parents collection. One antique strikes Nicholas's eye, a gold watch in a box with the word 'everlasting' carved into it. He opens it and becomes possessed with the soul of his ancestor Count Dracula.

During the day, he gets all of Dracula's power, his intimidating presence, his raw sex appeal, his strength, but he's the one in control. It aids his social life, gives him the popularity, the charisma, and confidence with the opposite sex he's always wanted. But at night . . . . well lets just say this takes all of Twilight's prettyboy vampire cliches, and views them through an ugly and critical light.

Dracula in Nicolas's body, isn't the man of your dreams like you'd expect in a prettyboy vamp manga. He's an animal with strictly basic wants and needs, he's a murderer, a sexual predator, a sociopath who cares for nobody but himself. No bemoaning his Immortality, no cliches over romancing a mortal. If you're a man you're his next meal, if you're a woman you're his next conquest, and maybe his eternal bedslave if he feels like you have something to offer him.

Like Jekyll and Hyde, Nick finds himself becoming more like Dracula everyday until eventually he can barely tell the difference between himself and dracula. It's great psychological horror, and a refreshing celebration and examination of all the typical modern vampire cliches we've come to know and loathe. Personally, in an era where Vampires have gone from being feared and terrifying creatures of the night, to Maybelline Models, it's more than welcome.

Let me tell you a story, a 7 years ago (I think, I have a shitty memory) I was starting to get tired of Naruto (part 2 killed that fucking series) and none of the manga I picked up during that time interested me and I saw something that interested me, it was a manga I had never seen before (this was back when when I had a store in town that actually sold manga and anime and had no internet which I would get about 1 year later). It was volume 1 of Akira of all things, the art-style didn't particularly interest in but there was something about the story that drew me in and as I read the other volumes over time (I didn't buy any of them cause they were expensive as shit just read them in the story and evaded the store-owner so he didn't notice I wasn't buying anything) I got more and more interested in anything like this, Akira wasn't the typical shonen stories I was used to reading It was DARK and the themes it touched on caused me to think about things I normally wouldnt and the 11 year old me though that was the coolest shit (If I were a more normal 11 year old girl I would probably have hated it, yay for tomboy-ness).

So I tried out a few more manga in the Seinen category because the store-owner actually knew what they were doing and didn't just group all the manga together (though he did one-time accidently stick a yuri hentai in the romance section instead of the 18+ by accident) and eventually I came across Berserk which was actually cheap enough for me to buy, I still have the first few volumes of it and read the rest online when I got my first computer.

I fucking love berserk I mean that is a very passed around statement but words cant express how much I love this series, the art is stunning with some detail in every single panel, the characters all feel so real and yet twisted, they have a lot of depth and jesus fucking christ those action scenes, but see here's the thing till just now I never read past the moment they got on the boat, EVER.
I had only just started reading it online when I heard about how there seemed to be a ton of delays ongoing with the manga and how it was taking ages, so I read on till just before they got on and then stopped, saying I would check back in a year to see how many chapters were done.........and so I did and they were still on the boat and I checked next year, still on the boat.
And again and again and again every single year they were still on the boat but every single year I would read up to that point (or watch the anime sometimes since the first anime was great even if it kinda shit the bed near the end by cutting out skull knight) until one day I heard that that the party I had last seen leaving for elfheim were FINALLY off the boat and I re-read the entire thing one more time these past two days, it was so worth it, I still love Berserk.

Started reading X by Clamp a few days ago. It's pretty good but damn is there too much talking and explaining. Also, these kind of pages are very well done not to mention nasty.
