This is the thread for you to talk about the manga you're currently reading. Go nuts, kids.

Just re-read the first six volumes of the Gunslinger Girl manga ADV put out. Needles to say they were as great as I remembered. If you've never read them before I highly recommend you do so as soon as possible.

Read a series called Homunculus. The sort of manga that tries to be derp. I don't think it comes off toooooo pretentious and it was a decent afternoon's worth of reading. Oh, and main character takes Shinji + manjuice to new levels.

EDIT:
I have high hopes for this thread. Please don't shit it up.

Thanks, ZapX.

Looks like I don´t have to create the thread all by myself.

I´m currently reading Otaku no Musume-san and re-read the first 6 volumes of Gunslinger Girl by MANGA in german.
I also re-read Welcome to the NHK!, because I was thoroughly confused the first time around I read it.

Otaku no Musume-san is about an otaku who suddenly becomes the father of a 9 year old.
I like it.

Finished reading Onani Master Kurosawa aka Fap Note.
I also read Bakuman c111.

Bakuman was meh, Onani was a pretty exciting read.

Edit:

Oh and I´m going to marathon Naruto from 1 to 520 today to see what the fuss it is about, but if I feel like dropping it midway, I´ll re-read some Watchmen(Not manga, but eh.).

Just read to the end of the Invasion of Pain arc. The rest is naught but character derailment and goalless villains.

Anyone know a good fanfiction that continues from there without jumping the shark? I want closure, dammit!

Battle Angel Alita.

Surprsingly good fun. Good sense of humour... though goes a bit off the rails when the ZOT starts to drag on.

I don't read much manga, since on-screen is generally not so convenient as treeware so I only do that under unusual circumstances of lack of availability (like the last half of Narutaru). Also, /a/ is nowhere near as good a source of recs for manga as for anime -- not all the anime that get positive reports are fap-fodder for horny basement dwellers.

However, I started to pick up Claymore recently. Having seen the anime, I picked up at vol 11, which is about where the storyline diverged -- and it's OK for bath-time reading, I guess.

Spice & Wolf. Wonderfully drawn. Could spend 5 minutes on each page. Also I like it a little bit more than the anime because the manga puts more stress on the relationship between Holo and Lawrence.

Also K-On! Moves so fast paced compared to the anime.

I also finished Chobits. Wonderfully ending, I'd like an epilogue following everybody and how their lives are going now after everything.

Hmm, Spice&Wolf sounds riveting and a lot of people I know have been raving about it.

Might as well check it out.

Be prepared for less wolf girl fanservice and more ECONOMICS than you probably expected. It's pretty good, though.

It's really good. And like I said before, it is gorgeous to look at. Holo's adorable. I think up to 4 is available in English.

Also the economics will be handy for TEOTWAWKI.

Just read what was available for a manga called Ibitsu, a horror manga involving a lolita girl haunting a guy.

Anyway, does anyone have any recommendation for decent horror mangas? and I mean real horror stuff, stuff that would creep you out.

You could try Ghost Talkers Daydream. It can really creep you out at times, but I have to warn you they go heavy on the stupid humor when they are not dealing with ghosts. Sometimes to the point it damages the story they're trying to tell.
