My my, the underlying rage in this thread is nearly palpable...kinda tastes like thick, black coffee.

When this is over, we need to do:
a) A final chart, of course
b) A competition on who is the best Rei
c) A rank list based on the death order that administers little prizes to the top five and the suck five. Or maybe funny prizes/punishments for anyone, eg. should Misato win, she'd get uh... a life supply of beer, an indestructible car and a naked Kaji strapped to her bed, while Keel and Naoko get... not so nice things. And consolation prizes for the rest... The Reis already have place 5, so they'll be place 5a/5b/5c
Actually, since Rei's main score reached zero, we could start the Rei competition right now to save time and have it run parallel to the struggles of our remaining four contestants for additional fun. The reifight should be over fairlý quickly with only 3 contestants...

I am not sure how long Asuka can survive since she can go all the way from 100 to 35 in one day. Better vote now....
Shinji - 70
Asuka - 40 +
Misato - 105
Kaji - 15 -
As I predicted earlier, Asuka and Rei would fight to the bitter end and let Misato win at the end.... Could I have guessed otherwise? Nah....

I never thought I would come back to Evangelion after EoE,
But I discovered Re-Take (or it found me?) and
now here I am.

Kendrix wrote:Asuka thinks its time to ask Shinji to swear his undying love to her, now that her rival is out of the way. She tells him not to cry about that "Emotionless plastic doll" and to become her boyfriend.
He slaps her across the face for saying such things about Rei and tells her that he doesn't want anything to do with her because she is arrogant and selfish, and that SHE is the one who appears to lack feelings just as compassion. Some weeks ago, he might have gone with the redhead and would just have accepted the way she treated him and his friends becauswe he thought he didn't deserve any better, was desperate for any sort of affection and was too scared to speak up, but after the events of 2.0, he has become a better and more adult human being with a sense of self-worth - in other words, someone who will no longer let Asuka disrespect him.
Shinji Ikari has become a MAN, and he will honour all his fallen friends and his father by staying one and saving the world so that their sacrices won't have been for nothing.
Wow is there a lot of misplaced bitterness in this post

Misato - 105
Kaji - 15 +5 = 20
Huh so the great Rei-Asuka war ended up dooming both parties just like I predicted. Well, let's just see if Kaji can outlast Asuka eh?

More than likely; a lot of the Asuka hurt is based more on Asuka hate than anything else. *shrug*
In this time of Rebuild, I'm proud to be one of the few fans of the original NGE, and one of the last proud fans of Asuka Langley Soryu.

Just for the record I don't hate Asuka, but I do want to slap her for being such a bitch and then hug her for being so damaged.
EDIT: Ha...I just realized what I wrote.

Since the strater of this thread hasn't been active for a while, we need someone else with something that resembles authority to state that necromancy is not an option, since it would produce a neverending game. A mod, perhaps?

What else is new. This thread isn't really about who we like, but who we hate. Why else is there only 5 points for healing but 10 for hurting. The name of the game is killing people off (remind you of something??)
Personally, Asuka fans can at least feel better knowing she outlasted Rei.

Kaji sees his assassin in the rear-view
Asuka visits Rei's graveyard and realizes that she'd lost a potential friend. Despite being sad, she is glad that Rei's story showed her the preciousness of love.
She resolves to chill a bit more and get to know her friends better.
After all, tomorrow we die.
Shinji - 70
Asuka - 35
Misato - 95
Kaji - 10
Ken, don't hate so much, don't be a Sarah Palin.
It's good to like a character, but relax on the hate.
Lean to Rei if you will, but remember, Asuka's only trying to hold her world together.
Love thy neighbor, for where no one sows love, love never shall be.

Be kinder to Asuka; she's a little, suffering girl who's got feelings, too!

Shinji can only stare at the catfight before him, as Asuka and Misato duke it out. While Misato seems to have the upper hand, Asuka just delivered a mean kick.

"Asuka groaned, palming her face. "First? That's a bagel."
"You're supposed to eat it," Shinji assisted.
Rei looked at them, then back to Ikari-kun, taking in the surprising revelation. Cautiously, she placed her lips around the item in her hand and took a small bite. Wide-eyed, she beheld the bagel with a new reverence.

To be honest, after Mari and Kaworu were goners, there wasn't anyone left I don't like.
