Heck, when was the last time you saw the Tree of Sephiroth in the Bible? Well, lets see what the Eva God has to say about it. A symbolic figure in Kabbalism (A esoteric sect of Judaism centring around mystical interpretations of the "Torah") representing in essence a 3-dimensional...

Almost all religions have an idea of paradise. I dont see any reason to conect Instrumentality to Buddhism, especially when there are so many connections to Christanity.

Unless you were not being serious, it’s hard to tell considering you are rather vocal about your dislike of Eva, and its fans.

Speaking of which... It always does piss me off to see children who are essentially brainwashed into following the faith of one or both parents. But, then, this is coming from someone who was raised by heathenistic parents... "Heathen", me? Darn tootin'! Brainwashed! You only had the ...

Furthermore I also maintain EVAngelion has some deep Lolita complex issues - Well duh, its anime. It just irritates me to hear, from ANY religion, that their way is the only "right" way I agree, my way is the only right way. -- spiritual egotism is such a very ugly thing. What about the n...

I'm going to use your following quote and explanation to explain why it's a poor excuse. *snip* First of all that whole post was made irrelevant because you ignored... The soul is a completely abstract idea that has no real bases in reason. The tooth fairy isn’t an abstract idea. It&#...

This sentence alone makes me think that either: A.) You haven't read Descartes or B.) You missed his point entirely. Descartes goal and belief was that we could come to understand the soul and mind through reason and intellect alone.). I think you missed my point. The human soul in ...

What I'm hearing is that you want to throw philosophy out the window. But I'm afraid you can't do that (especially in relation to this series). To do so means you can explain anything by any means you wish (magic, fairies, dreams, demons, etc.). You are comparing things ...

As I indicated above, I think she's an avatar of Rei/Lilith; as for Yui, she's headed out into deep space in Unit 01, where, after a few thousand years alone, she'll probably be saying to herself "This is starting to get really old! What the hell was I thinking?!" She'll h...
