Re: Internet toxicity (Social media, fandom shipping, etc)

Can forum admins legally censor your posts for stuff like swearing? I personally think that censoring people is wrong and a violation of freedom of speech. A forum that I'm no longer participating in censors users' posts for swearing and I personally don't think it's right. In the US, the First Ame...

Verne Troyer, known for his role as Mini-Me in the Austin Powers films, is dead at age 49. :sniffle:

Dammit. :sniffle: I really liked that guy, although I only knew about him from his military-themed TV shows. I wonder if those shows are available on Blu-Ray or DVD, I'll have to check.

On the planet Naboo, in the capital city of Theed, a group of unsavory types gathered around a pit to watch the infamous one-meter-tall Naboo death roosters fight to the death, and to place wagers on the outcomes. Suddenly a young boy with blond hair, maybe 9 years old, leapt into the pit and began ...

Re: Star Wars Episode II - A New Thread

I've now watched The Last Jedi, so I'm finally caught up on all the SW films until the Solo film comes out. As for my opinion of TLJ, someone else on the internet summed the film up perfectly: It's like they made the best SW film of all time, and the worst SW film of all time, then spliced them into...

If you noticed, I put "Assuming this is canon" right in the post. I'm not sure whether it is or not, but so far I haven't seen any established canon info that contradicts it.

Re: Girls und Panzer

Ok, so I've been playing GuP: Dream Tank Match a lot lately. Assuming the story events (specifically those in Domination Battle mode) in the game are canon, some very interesting background info about Jatkosota has been revealed. 1: The reason they only have one tank is that they are not their schoo...

Re: Star Wars Episode II - A New Thread

When it comes to a Qui-Gon film, I don’t sense anything. But, if the rumours of an Obi-Wan movie are true, Qui Gon could appear as a Force ghost. The book From A Certain Point of View confirmed that he could appear as a Force ghost by the time of ANH. I hope that they’re likable, but I also hope th...

Re: Star Wars Episode II - A New Thread

Disney announced 26 release dates for the blockbusters over the next few years today. Most of these dates are simply “Untitled” but since the theatrical release calendar is becoming more set with movie franchises becoming almost like annual holidays a few of these dates are guaranteed for Star Wars...

Re: Star Wars Episode II - A New Thread

I finally got around to watching The Force Awakens and Rogue One. I ended up enjoying them a lot more than I thought I would. TFA, while basically being a ANH clone, I found to be more enjoyable than the latter two prequel films. It's nowhere near the top of my list, but it's a solid entry. Poe and ...

Re: Internet toxicity (Social media, fandom shipping, etc)

I've noticed this myself. After leaving this site, I joined a few other forums for other franchises I'm interested in. First was the official World of Tanks forum, but that turned out to be a hotbed of elitism, negativity, hatred for players who aren't great at the game/play certain tank classes suc...

Re: FML general thread [8]

I'm now 30 years old. I never imagined myself being this old, and still can't. The worst part is that my biological prime is behind me, my body will now steadily lose its functionality over the course of many decades. And it's already happening. Over the past year and a half, I've lost my ability to...

^ Honestly, I've given up on FFXV ever since they announced those power ranger exo-suits a couple weeks ago. What the game needs is reconstructive surgery for its story. Instead of doing that, S-E would rather keep shoveling out pointless crap like mobile spinoffs, power ranger suits, cup noodle pro...

^ Yes, the damage cap was removed in TZA/IZJS. Anyhow, I've put a few more hours in and made it to Bhujerba. I stayed at the "bone zone" in the Lhusu Mines for a while and massively overleveled my battle party thanks to the speed boost function. I think my highest chain was 260-something b...

My Japanese New 2DS LL arrived today. I knew it was going to get here from Hong Kong more quickly with express shipping, but I wasn't expecting it to be delivered the day after the Japanese release! The US charger I bought in advance works perfectly with it, and soon I'll be able to play the DS and ...

Re: Final Fantasy series

Akihiko Yoshida did the artwork for the steelbook IIRC, Amano had very little involvement in XII originally as well if memory serves me right. Sorry about that, it just looks similar to Amano's work. Anyhow, I'm a bit further in now. Still haven't snuck into the palace yet, I've mostly been overlev...
