In reality there's actually still a bit of a bit of mystery regarding what exactly causes our cells to maintain shape and not simply dissolve. We are made of some minerals, chemicals and lots of water, so if for some reason whatever is holding us together stopped doing its thing, all that would ...

It's not just Evangelion that has it, though. A lot of anime has a heavy emphasis on protcol and procedure and it's usually not a plot point. As I said, I believe it's a cultural thing since ceremony plays a huge role in Japanese culture, and in works that have a military operations them...

I've been working on my LAEM script again lately, and after having written about 30 pages of it and going back to watch Eva 1.11 on Blu-Ray, I noticed one thing in particular that seems to bog down 1.11's pacing, and it probably makes up a lot of the filler in the main series-- the heavy emp...

From what we knew it was going to focus on the first 6 episodes of the show as source material. However, Unit 2 and Asuka were featured fairly prominently in the concept artwork, which tells me that she would probably have been introduced in the first film as well, even though technically she did no...

I don't really want to see LA Eva. Hollywood CAN and WILL ruin it. If they make something with the quality of the LOTR movies, I would be shocked. If they make a LA Eva, and it is as good as and as true to the original as LOTR, I will eat my underwear. I will get on my webcam, cut up my underwe...

Aren't movies 3 and 4 actually about half as long as the first two, though? From what I understand, they're kind of pulling a Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows and splitting chapter 3 into two parts, but in this case it's probably to get it out faster rather than just to make more mon...

I'm pretty sure that an evangelion doesn't need an entire soul to function, just enough of a person's soul that it can sync with the pilot. It's not confirmed whether Asuka's mom was fully absorbed by Eva 02 after she committed suicide, or if the part of her soul that was absorbe...

I always wanted to have some custom-made Evangelion jerseys made up, but I doubt that the price would be very good unless I could order in bulk. Also, the jersey printing services I've seen so far haven't really looked like they'd do justice to the concept. http://img202.imageshack.us/im...

Here's something the Gainax cash cow did not get a penny from me for, because I printed it myself. :) http://i246.photobucket.com/albums/gg117/Timstuff_photos/nex_mod_01.jpg BTW, here's how it looked when I bought it: http://i246.photobucket.com/albums/gg117/Timstuff_photos/P1010019.jpg ...

It was probably some cheap ass beta cam that they got from the local electronics store. The picture quality wasn't all that hot for a theatrical film, but maybe Manga's POS DVD transfer was to blame and it was actually shot on film.

Now they're losing to DVD, Blu-Ray, and the internet. I think sooner or later Hollywood will realize the creative slump it's in and start branching out into new IPs and ones that have not been explored in film before, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was after the 3D gimmick has gone ba...

Never been to a prom, and honestly I don't care. My college sometimes has fancy dances that people sign up for and go to, but I've never been interested in them since it seems to me like a bunch of people who are in denial that high school is over. If I want a party, I'll invite people o...

It's ironic that Hollywood is so insistent that the future of film is the past, when the top grossing movie of all time is not a sequel, remake, reboot or adaptation of any kind. Although I certainly wouldn't call anything about the story original, Avatar is proof that you can get audiences ...

If for some reason the LAEM project actually manages to lift off of the dirt, then you'd better believe store shelves will be neatly lined with reissues of the Evangelion anime and manga. Unfortunately, that's not looking too likely ATM unless something changes. I STILL don't have Volume...
