30 Days of Night for probably the thirtieth time since it's release in '08. Still my favorite vampire movie.

Re: Last Movie You Watched

If you are like me and loved The Raid and The Raid 2 , then see Headshot when it gets a wide release. I was lucky enough to see it at a film fest last night and it is the perfect hold-over until The Raid 3 comes out in a few years. It even features Iko Uwais as the main character (Rama in The Raid s...

Re: [Film] The Trailers & Upcoming Films Thread

I haven't had any interest in all the superhero movies being churned out at an alarming rate the past few years, but this looks really good.

I thought Red State was great, the first "horror" movie in a long time to actually make me feel uneasy.

Rewatched Memories of Murder. Korean cinema at it's finest. The ending scene still gives me goosebumps.

Re: Last Movie You Watched

Train to Busan (8/10)- My first time experiencing a Korean zombie movie. I enjoyed the claustrophobic nature of the setting and the twitchy zombies.

Baskin (6/10)- A promising beginning with a mediocre climax. Lots of cool visuals but most of the symbolism went over my head.

Re: FML general thread [8]

I don't understand. Are you saying that watching NGE caused you to hate yourself, or that you expected NGE to somehow help you overcome your self-loathing but did not succeed? Either way, it's just an animated television series about giant robots, it shouldn't have that big of an impact on your life.

Re: Oh The Horror!

I saw 31 at an advanced screening last night. I enjoyed it for what it was, but it seems Rob might be running out of steam in the "psychopathic hillbillies" department. If you liked House of 1000 Corpses and The Devil's Rejects, you'll probably find something to like about this movie. On a...

I thought I'd seen a lot of great movies this year, but Hell or Highwater blew them all away. This is going to be my film of the year guaranteed. Knockout performances from Jeff Bridges and Ben Foster.

Re: Oh The Horror!

I saw Don't Breathe today. It's really good. Kept me guessing how it was going to end. It's contending with Green Room as the best horror/thriller of the year in my books.
