Re: Waiting for Evangelion:3.0+1.0

Was fine up until now but just unsubbed from Khara on youtube and clicked "do not recommend", not wanting any part of this new trailer.

I think it's because they stay in cinemas longer, not really sure honestly. Just how it works over there.

Re: Amazon Prime Video release

Realistically speaking, when can we expect the Japanese Blu-Ray to release (I assume it may have English subtitles, but feel free to correct me if I'm wrong)? I've followed a few movies recently in Japan and they always took at least 5 months to come out on Blu-Ray there. Heaven's Feel Part III com...

Evangelion 1.11 being re-released in the UK in a Limited Edition format

http://blog.alltheanime.com/newswire-93-2/

Exciting! These guys do awesome collectors editions, so this ought to be good. I suppose we could expect 2.22 and 3.33 to follow suite, and maybe a sliver of hope for NGE.

Confirmation that progress is being made is all that I need. We've waited this long, we can wait longer.

Re: Evangelion 3+1, No 2016 Release?

The only hope I have for anything this year, and I doubt even that, is a trailer of some kind with the Godzilla film. That said, it's gotten to the point where I'm not too fussed when it comes out because I've waited this long, I can wait longer.

Re: End of the manga "Sadamoto's manga"

I personally just view Sadamoto's ending as the 'happy ending' version of EoE. It's a nice deviation from EoE. But then again I really enjoyed the manga, which I know some didn't. I think of it like the Rebuilds and try not to compare it to NGE too much and just enjoy it as it's own thing.

Re: Do people still hate Evangelion 3.33?

Lol, another fun fact is that people outside Evageeks love 2.22 while in here most members didn't like it. Well I got into Evangelion after seeing 2.22 about 4 years ago. Picked up 1.11 and 2.22 because they looked cool, loved the shit out of it and rewatched them about 5 times over two weeks. Stil...

Re: Funimation: Evangelion 3.33 coming out February 2 2016

Sounds like you're using an old 4x3 monitor. It's not nearly as bad on a 16x9 aspect ratio TV. I used to hate it too until I bought one of those. What I wish is that the TV industry would standardize around the 21x9 aspect ratio and make all new TVs in that size, which would make 21x9 images full-s...

Re: Funimation: Evangelion 3.33 coming out February 2 2016

3.33 was done in 21x9 (letterbox) aspect ratio instead of 16x9 (full screen) like the first two. I actually prefer 3.33's aspect ratio, it makes the film feel more cinematic. For some reason the box says it's 16x9, but that's definitely not true as there are black bars across the top and bottom of ...

Re: Funimation: Evangelion 3.33 coming out February 2 2016

"HD files" can mean anything. You can watch YouTube, Netflix, and Hulu in HD with no problem using a Core i5. But even with BD videos being way more loaded with data than internet HD videos, I cannot think that a Core i5 would cause that much trouble when playing them. What Blu-ray softwa...

Re: Funimation: Evangelion 3.33 coming out February 2 2016

I'm not 100% certain, but as far as I'm aware RAM is where programs and files go to be opened by the CPU, as the CPU can open it much faster from there. This includes pretty much everything, starting with the operating system. I'm not sure about the Mac OS, but Windows needs at least 2GB or RAM to o...
