Shinji in EOE I could bring up many so many things but I think what he did to Asuka in the hospital was the worst for me and it really caused me to really dislike that universes version of his character and even now I prefer his rebuild and manga version over the EOE Shinji any day.

There are interviews where he talks about how much he wants to draw Rei, and see Rei cosplayers, he doesnt seem to show the same interest in Asuka.
