It wasn't a household name, but anime was still a popular in Japan. Pizza Hut would do something like that with Lord of the Rings or Transformers over here, but not Rebuild. I wish it would happen, but it just won't. Now when/if the live action movie hits, that is a different story.

I concur, EVA-01 looks more much human than it's original counterpart. I like the "wobbley" EVA-01 a lot to be honest, as it aids a lot to the "creepy" aspects of it being human in itself and the zombie overtones.
