The fact that it has trouble balancing comedy and drama is frustrating to watch. For the first four episodes, I would agree with you, but honestly it got much better from there IMO. Show's been handling the juggling act so much better now. And I don't want to sound like a reactionary twat, ...

To be fair though, i'm currently fixing a few stuff after replacing my old sources of the Rebuild movies with HD sources and also plan to add a new sequence at some point during its duration. Also, here's a few gloriously rancid screencaps from a film damage FX test I did, so this should giv...

KLK is, quite honestly, the first series i've seen where I had the quickest turn around of an opinion on it. When I started marathoning the series up to at least episode 16 (17 hadn't aired yet), I didn't really care too much for it early on (mainly the first few episodes)...

It's about 75% done but i'm taking a break from writing the script until at least KLK is done.

Are you still working on this? Any ETA on auditions? The work on GoE is still ongoing, just at a slow pace due to the scripting process being a very painstaking one. At least i'm considerably closer to being done with writing it as opposed to where I was at back in December. As for auditions. I...

thanks for the link, lastcody. Mind that me requesting a PM was trying to keep potential forum rules from being broken but whatever, I got the link now and other fellow sick fucks can see them too. Anyhow, looks like I finally know the source of an Evangelion AMV Hell clip now and lol at the one wit...

So I guess I can just use that site and make a casting call for my own VA project when the time comes.

That's nice to know.

Alright people. If you go back to my original post, you'll see I added something to it.

Anyhow, I should be done with the script as early as sometime in January. Rehearsals will commence shortly afterwards.

Update 12/22/12: I am now halfway done writing the script, which means the audition process will probably be starting up as early as January, so be prepared. And as an extra Christmas treat, here is one last screencap i'm willing to share that was done recently as a way to make the footage flow...

The only disappointing aspect of this is the lack of Maya taking a part in the action. At least she would make sense unlike Toji and Hikari, who are in Nerv HQ for some really stupid reason (Hikari especially). But yeah, it's not very good fap material, especially the moment when Asuka s...

Actually, I was thinking about using Skype for rehearsals once I have a full cast.

And yeah, feel free to hit me up with your recording test in a PM. Mediafire, dropbox or whatever would suffice.

No, we don't need any fancy recording rooms, we're too no budget for that. The dialogue at least needs to sound audible and not overtly tinny like in a lot of parody videos you hear. Decent sounding audio quality at most

Just for fun, here's some color timing tests I did as an attempt to recreate the infamously cold, washed out, pastel looking video transfer on the much derided 2009 blu-ray release of William Friedkin's 1971 classic "The French Connection" http://i.imgur.com/4SNeyiI.png http://i.im...

If the concept is to just do some sort of Dadaist found footage collage thing and not just a parody, why limit yourself to just Eva for source material? Nah, dadaist is probably the wrong way to phrase it, though I do use some non-Evangelion footage in a few sequences. It's just that I thought ...
