I've always thought that this was pretty well implied -- especially in EoE -- but to each his own.

I don't know why I didn't just look up the actual OST before saying anything. You're totally right.

Re: EVA 2.0 OST= Kare Kano OST? WTF???

Sagisu's soundtracks have gotten notably worse over time. And by worse, I mean more overblown, overdramatic and cringingly cheesy. His choral work is particularly egregious in this regard. His 80s-90s work is far more beautiful-sounding than the stuff he's been producing lately. Yeah. While I can't...

Re: Netflix's Death Note Live Action Adaptation

@imprimatur13 , I'm glad to see someone interpret Death Note the same way I do. Unfortunately, I haven't seen Code Geass as of yet so I can't really say much on that matter. Ryuk Meets light. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=sFzvJMmH9x0 Oh yeah, I sorta forgot this was actually a thread about the new ...

Re: Netflix's Death Note Live Action Adaptation

Just reading through this thread now and I'm honestly surprised to see how much hate the original anime series is getting. I watched through all of it for the first time fairly recently and I thought that it was pretty good, albeit not perfect and (as many have already said) quite lacking in the lat...

Re: Was Lilin Evolution Artificially Guided?

Finally, homo sapiens emerged, and so sentience was achieved. I think the proper word here is "sapience"; and even then that may not be exactly right. Perhaps the FAR wanted to be reborn in bodies similar to their own, with sentience, and somehow directed human evolution towards that end ...

Also you can't see the script in the show, you can only see the show, so the script could call it the rubber baby buggy bumper room and it wouldn't matter, it's all about how it feels to you, the individual viewer, because we are all in our own independent reality because God shattered himself into...

Re: How many people in this forum would support an Instrumentality for mankind?

However, becoming nothing is not a first necessary step to the process; it's more aptly described as the outcome to the process. Nothingness results from a dilution of countless individuals. When there's billions of people involved, their individual contribution to the super organism is relatively ...

Re: How many people in this forum would support an Instrumentality for mankind?

The individuals in the small group wouldn't maintain identity, but the general consensus between a group of like minded people would stand a better chance of surviving than it would with billions of unorganized individuals. I don't think that even two like-minded people would be able to maintain an...

Re: How many people in this forum would support an Instrumentality for mankind?

Answer to the OP: No, I would not support Instrumentality for all of mankind, because I believe everyone has the right to decide whether or not they want to become part of a gestalt super-organism with no sense of being. Personally, I would not. And you're forgetting the most important part of my In...

Re: The battle against the MPE's disappointed me a bit in the EoE

Vultures don't throw themselves at prey that's still quite alive and kicking -- they wait until it's safe to come in and feast. For the comparison to hold water in a more than purely superficial sense, the Eva Series would have needed to remain circling at the beginning until Eva-02 was immobile. W...

why didn't Seele just wait until Eva-02 was down to deploy the MPs, period? Seriously, what was Eva-02 going to do to affect their plans before her battery ran out? Nothing, pretty much. On the other hand, if they throw their Instrumentality Task Force directly at her, they introduce the possibilit...
