Re: End of Evangelion Blu-Ray with English Audio

You can rip using any program that (for preference) will output in Matroska (.mkv) format; I use Handbrake myself. You can adjust the parameters of your re-encoding to suit your viewing devices and quality preferences. Handbrake currently has issues with dealing with correct color primaries (Rec 70...

Re: Digital Enhancement of Episode 16

This thread was bumped recently so I think is the great opportunity to comment on my work with restoring Episode 16. Apart from the inherently lack of resolution of a SD master and the poor upscaling algorithm generating a lot of halos and ringing artifacts on edges, another big problem of Episode 1...

Re: Accurate EoE subs

For the EoE blu-ray I have http://3xrani.me/subs/EOE.English.zip -- mostly unchanged from the Manga translation, just retimed http://pastebin.com/VWJtYAf6 -- based on bochan_bird's translation of the screenplay, may have some timing issues Hey Mr. Times, is the second one just the old Anime Central...

Going back to the Death quality thingi, I'm starting to think that the Death and Rebirth transfer might be from a theatrical print, while the Death True^2 is the better handled original master. When you look at the TV footage in both, the Death True stuff looks to be pretty similar in colors an...

Well, that's a load of us in our place then. Where did the concept of respectful disagreement end up? I was just trying to convey my despise for the manga in some way. Read the first 2 words from that post again. This is just my personal opinion and feelings towards the manga, maybe i should...

No offence but i'm a more radical fan. I despise everyone that entitles themselves "fans" and even consider liking the manga at all almost as i completely despise the manga itself. The only worth in the manga is in the art. The characters are completely destroyed by Sadamoto. Nothing g...

Japanese "cult" music scene is highly influenced by Brazillian bossa nova, the Soundtrack of Evangelion and many other series is clear evidence of that. But there isn´t much of brasillian influence in Japan nowadays apart from music and lately soccer. Unfortunately the whole world still th...

I was born in a family of psychanalists. I've had clinical depression at the age of 10 and went through psychoanalisis for the last 15 years. (within a 5 year hiatos). My mother is a Freud - Winnicotian Psychanalist, and after almost 10 years as a fan of Evangelion i convinced her, final...

Evangelion Hex Glyphs

This is my first message in a while since during the inter-bd release i decided to get away from Eva sites and foruns to avoid spoilers and the agony of waiting for the BD. What i bring here is a work i've done since i haven´t seen anyone else posting results up to now and also to help people av...

I'll reinterate: I've already watched it and there isn´t any "deep" or complex dialogue in this movie (sadly) so the resynced Camrip subs are more than adequate, in fact they were much better than a default release you would expect from commie or hadena.

Downloading at 94 kB/s. It'll probably finish downloading after I receive my bluray  The first hour for me was like that, too. 40~120 at best, but now i'm downloading at 250~400kb/s so it ought to finish before evening. That's been up for hours now. Doubting we'll get the ...

One of the things i like the most in Eva, is the fact that is not a Maniqueist piece, i don´t see Gendou as a Villain at all, here in Brazil we have lot of corrupted politicians far worst than him. The thing he want's most is to reunite with Yui, but i also believe he also cares for the fate of ...

Once again someon, Chrad, made my point in a short postage. An interesting note of time problem: Even if we considered that the blood expeled from GNR's carothida to be unrealistically fast (faster than escape velocity of earth: 12km/s) it would still take at least 8 hours to actually ar...

@sephirotic Wow, that sure is an elaborate scenario for the way Shinji spent his time before Asuka returned. I want to make sure I'm reading your post correctly, because I'm not certain I am. Are you saying that Anno would not have simply indicated the passage of time, but would have necces...
