Re: Celebrity RIP Thread
Jon Schnepp, 51. Too young. This man was so lively, this news is a bit difficult to comprehend.

Re: Star Wars Episode II - A New Thread
Though I'm afraid for Lando if he does get included in the film given their attitude for nonchalantly and unceremoniously killing off all the original characters, that'll we have to watch him die too with some sort of off screen death for Leia in addition to that. >nonchalantly and unceremoniously ...

Re: Star Wars Episode II - A New Thread
Holdo never made things personal. She was strictly professional, even when she had to call out Poe for his bad decision earlier in the film, and that's why Poe didn't like her. Poe was the one disregarding the chain of command, trying to subvert the leadership with a mutiny. Especially given Poe's r...

Re: Was Yui nearly as bad as Gendo?
Sure it does. All people hold positions of influence in one way or another, and this is especially true of the parent, who influences their child's upbringing, the institutions they're sent to, etc. Note also that I was careful with my words by clarifying that they "believe" to be in a pos...

Re: Was Yui nearly as bad as Gendo?
Here's a perspective that may or may not be relavent; What if as a parent, you feel a tremendous amount of weight of responsibility for your kid, and to the best of your ability, you try to provide them with the proper tools that you feel they need to live. Now, what if your world view also leaves y...

Re: Fallout
If it's setup anything like the online multiplayer of Destiny, this might have quite a bit of promise. Destiny was one of the few online games that successfully got people to work together toward a common goal, but cooperation with each other wasn't necessary to you both completing the mission.

Do people hate this show nowadays? Moreso than before? What people? Should we even care that some people don't like it, and if so why? Must Eva be something that is forced upon everyone?

Re: Star Wars Episode II - A New Thread
Regarding said character in the Kenobi film. I don't think Maul will be in the Kenobi film. In Rebels, we see how he discovers that Kenobi has been hiding on Tattooine; at which point he goes straight there, specifically questions Kenobi why he would ever come there, figures out about the chosen...

Re: Star Wars Episode II - A New Thread
It's odd how the "____ A Star Wars Story" movies have better pacing than the actual Episode VII and VIII. The main movies are overstuffed, like they have too many ideas and want to rush them out. I complete agree here. I've expressed this on the discord before, but the sequel trilogy is f...

Re: Star Wars Episode II - A New Thread
I think they anticipated the loss with this film. Solo wasn't originally supposed to be such a high budget film, but they allowed the budget to double itself with the reshoots because they wanted to ensure a quality final product that would maintain the integrity of the direction these new Disney SW...

Re: Star Wars Episode II - A New Thread
Maul actually got quite a bit of development between both animated series, much of it brought to life by Sam Witwer's amazing voice performances. Aside from being driven by revenge against Kenobi, Maul also attempts to get the attention of Palpatine by gaining influence in the criminal underwor...

Re: Star Wars Episode II - A New Thread
Solo surpassed all expectations. In ways unlike the other SW films, Solo has the feel of an adventure movie that is exciting and lends itself to great humor. Despite it being clear that the film went through production hell, which mostly shows through the whiplashes in direction whenever they transi...

The PS4 and Steam rereleases of FFIX came with speed boosts, among other things, which makes the gameplay much more convenient. I recommend checking either of those out.
