Odd, I never noticed that, at first it looked like electricity or something, but then I realized that it wasn't transparent. Obviously, the reason for that is because Yui's soul is inside the Eva. So why was it all of a sudden visible? It may be showing how Yui is now in complete control ove...

The Eva Monkey wrote:In my opinion, its a scene purposely abstract, with no real specific meaning.

I disagree, there was definite intended symbolism. Most of the events in the scene can be explained. Though I do agree the mood of the scene was definetely meant to be uncomfortable.

Like I said, dead wrong.
What I remember is that the article was talking about Kaworu and the expression "kill/choke the cat/dog" I honestly have no clue... maybe Eva Monkey knows what I'm talking about, he seems to have read quite a bit...

Mr.Guy wrote:He was a dirty traitor in the anime, now he kills puppies!? What's up with that?

There was a purpose to that scene, I read something about it once, I think it had to do with masturbation or something... I'm probably dead wrong.

I never actually properly understood the scene... Can anyone with godly knowledge of Evangelion explain it? It was meant to show how lonely and seperated Shinji felt without his mother, you probably noticed the very suggestive setting of the scene. I believe this symbolizes how he was still safe in...

I believe that it was SEELE's plan to merge humanity into their own god. It fits in with Anno's picture of man creating their own destiny.

Re: Second Impact

Oh well Xanatose beat me to it, I'll keep the explanation up anyway. What exactly went on up to and during Second Impact? The general public was told that a meteor, 10 mm in diameter, crashed into Antarctica. But in reality it was SEELE and Gendo's plan to put Adam in an embryonic form. How ...

I guess it could have been SEELE, though I'm in doubt. I'm not sure about the anime, but in the manga, there's a flashback sequence of Gendo and Fuyutsuki talking, Gendo says that the plan to "regenerate the original Adam" will continue, but they will now begin "The path t...

It was supposed to be the two girls' mother, but your right, she looks like Misato. Perhaps it's because Shinji always saw Misato as his replacement mother?
