Brawl in Cellblock 99- 9/10
Real great prison film, Vince Vaughn is in rare form here and the violence is fucking brutal.

No way. One of my favorite sleaze films. I recommend it to anyone who likes 80's cheese.

Jackals - A poor man's You're Next without the dark humour and cool kill scenes. The best scenes were ones inside the cabin. 6/10 The New York Ripper - Undoubtedly Fulci's sleaziest film. A good blend of his oldschool giallo influence and the gore effects that made him known. Also, the serial kille...

The season finale felt lackluster compared to the rest of the season. Damn shame since they were doing so well.

Re: [Film] The Trailers & Upcoming Films Thread
Slightly related to the exploitation of children, this movie looks very promising, lots of Drive/Taxi Driver/Hotline Miami vibes, plus Joaquin Phoenix is always fantastic.

Mother! Every Eva fan should see it at least once. Granted, you don't watch a movie like this as much as you experience it. Btw, Chuckman, with regard to your avatar, I have always loved that Bacon painting. :) That final 25 minutes is a total assault on the senses. Would agree with fans of EoE che...

Wind River - 10/10 When the poster informs you it was written by the same guy who wrote Sicario and Hell or Highwater , you are already expecting greatness. This surpassed even my high expectations. Without a doubt the best of this unofficial trilogy. I suspect after a second viewing once the blu-r...

Apocalypse Now Redux . Until tonight I'd only seen the theatrical cut a few times when I was younger. I can appreciate the extra insight the added scenes have, but really it feels like it ruins the pacing and is overly bloated. I know this is a question that has caused many an argument but I'll ask...

Do the apes still sign? Or are they all speaking now? Depending on the answer- I may have to wait till I'm back in Britland before watching this one. Can't read Polish subtitles yet, or understand ape-sign for that matter... Caesar speaks fluently now. Most of them still sign though. Maurice speaks...

War For the Planet of the Apes- Fantastic film, without a doubt the best in an already amazing trilogy. Seriously, Andy Serkis should win the first Oscar for a CGI character. I have no doubt I'll be going to see this once more before the theatrical run ends.

The Belko Experiment- 8/10
A fun genre film that I didn't know had been written by James Gunn (of GotG fame). The tagline describing it as Office Space meets Battle Royale was extremely apt.

Madoka Magica: The Rebellion Story. It's my personal favorite anime film of the new millenium. Also, Jin Roh: The Wolf Brigade.

Put $10 into a VLT last night while out having some drinks and shooting pool with buds. Ended up winning $800, so all drinks were on me. Still managed to walk away with a cool $650.
