Sorry about the state of the forum right now. I fell asleep while on the admin controls, and woke up with keyboard prints on my face and a weird looking forum board.
I’ll fix it as soon as I can pay the ransom to the Area 51 agents.

Re: Why would Seele allow for Jet Alone to be built?
Was it "Seele" at the time, or just "The Committee?" I forget how the naming conventions played out as the show was produced, I just know that the monoliths weren't used until much later.
Not that it means much to the greater plot structure, I suppose...

It's probably a lip sync thing. The translation is pretty close.

Re: Adam by Eve: A Live in Animation
Khara’s involved, okay, but how are they involved? Animation is clearly the thing we would assume to come from them, but some of those love-action shots give me a lot of Love & Pop vibes. Some of them even look like they were shot on Mini DV! (Which is nearly absurd to think of in a day and angl...

Re: Netflix Version: Subs vs. Dub
Who knows? The most likely explanation is that Khara gave Netflix/VSI the audio masters without dialogue that used the queuing in the more recent mixes. Or it could be that Khara only gave them the surround mix, and they had to down-mix to stereo from those sources.

Silvermoonlight is voluntarily stepping down from her role as moderator. She says she has to focus on some IRL stuff for the time being.
We wish her well and hope to see her again shortly!

Hideaki Anno and Mahiro Maeda going crazy with the ghastly creature designs is always wonderful to see.

Re: Netflix Version: Subs vs. Dub
I actually think the dub is about as good as the subbed this time around. The performances range from good to great, and Stephanie McKeon does a particularly wonderful job as Asuka. The Eva roars seemed to fit naturally into the mix. The only thing I think would have been neat is if the English ster...

New Forum Sections!
We've decided to expand our focus on Khara and Trigger projects, especially within regards to Hideaki Anno's "Shin" live-action movies. In light of that decision, "Related Works & People" is now an entire section! I've already gone ahead and placed Gainax, Trigger, and Khara ...

Re: Forum Wackiness
We are restructuring the forum a bit. We've decided to expand the "Related Works & People" section. This decision was made on the account of wanting to further explore the contents of the live-action "Shin" movies, as well as try to accommodate the growing awareness of Anno's...

It's hilarious that all of the media sites feel like they gotta hype a Cinematic Universe every time a merch cross over is announced. Disney has programmed these people well.

I'm not saying this is all you do, and you can definitely argue your cause; however, I do ask you to tone down said competitiveness. Honestly, this is all we’re asking here. I’d go even a step further and say we’re really not looking to create an atmosphere of debate, but rather one of discussion. ...

Re: Are the mods/admins taking the forum the right way?
So, a couple of things to address here. 1. "Rebuild wouldn't exist if not for Eva's rampant commercial success," is, itself, a sentence that uses disparaging language to make its point. "Rampant" is rarely used in a positive sense. Whether intentional or no, the language you expr...

Re: Are the mods/admins taking the forum the right way?
No one's challenging your subjectivity on the narrative Evangelion materials themselves, but there does seem to be some disagreement on what you think the historical matters of the production processes themselves are to be. Saying, "I don't like _ Evangelion thing and here are the reasons why I...

Re: what if netflix did a live action evangelion series ...
On the subject of a hypothetical Netflix adaptation, I actually wouldn’t place any expectations of quality on it unless it was animated. For whatever reason, their Lost In Space series still is the best looking big-budget sci-fi TV series they’ve done. Any other live-action show they’ve done that ha...
