Hmm, I did notice a "dissonance" of sort in the way Kaworu is portrayed in 3.0, but I would not say he was portrayed as "evil" in the first two movies... In 1.0/2.0 he was basically just a mysterious guy chilling on the moon spouting mysterious lines, until he came down to impale...
