The first time I watched it, it was back in 2006 or 2007. I thought it was cool but I had some troubles understanding the ending but I saw the movie a few more times like a year ago then I like the movie way better then before and I understand the movie it self much better too, I saw the movie twice...

I hear Serial Experiments Lain deals with many of the same themes as Evangelion. You might want to check that one out.

I argee with the post above. NGE and Fullmetal Alchemist are the very few animes that I give a perfect 10 (I have not seen too many anime series though).

I always wanted to do a anime based on the Space Odyssey novel series. 2010, 3001 where great sequels in my opinion and 2061 was not too bad of a novel.

Lilith, Sachiel, Israfel and Zeruel are my main favorites. I like Lilith due to it design that it has.
