Re: Forum Wackiness

I preferred just green or no green, personally, but of course I'm going to say that, that's what I was already used to. Now, if people who saw red before were to experience the version without red and decide that they prefer it that way, that would be telling. I couldn't see red before either, but ...

Re: Star Wars

This is simply a problem with franchise movies in general, and now it has become a problem in Star Wars. Even when Empire ended with a cliff-hanger ending, it didn't leave us with half-assed mysteries that would have served the characters better if offered up front. It simply ended with the start o...

Re: Star Wars

Hey, I love Kylo! His movements (especially in the mask), all sickly, jerky, spastic, give this image of this barely contained madness. And the backstoryworks, for me. I mean, I like him. It's just that his tangential relation to certain other characters colors him in a slightly negative light for ...

Re: Star Wars

I don't get the Kylo hate. His character and motivations are things to be further explored in the upcoming films, and he already is a much more fleshed out character than Vader was at this point in the original trilogy, at least we know he's a conflicted guy and we have hints as to why he is so conf...

SPOILER: Show
Rey is almost certainly Luke's daughter. Finn doesn't seem to be related to anyone from the original trilogy, though it wouldn't surprise me if he ended up being related to Lando in some way

Re: Star Wars

Just came back from the movie. It was great, I think old fans will be pleased with this one. The similarities with the original movie were a bit too numerous, they played it really safe to win over the die-hard fans of the franchise, and now that they've done it, I think they have more leeway to tak...

Re: Star Trek

Implying that a blockbuster has to be Grade A disposable dreck. Are you being a Hollywood apologist, Fish? I wouldn't put it in such harsh words. I see no problem in a movie that aspires to nothing more than delivering a fun viewing experience to the audience, and I didn't even expect anything else...

I like the trailer, specifically because of the soundtrack. At least it's not trying to be anything other than what it is, a blockbuster.

Re: Street Fighter 5 announced for PS4 and PC

Then the real question is why the hell the ESRB thinks a little fanservice is worth a mature rating. Sure, but that's on the ESRB, not on Capcom. As an aside, this isn't the only way Cammy's been changed in SF V; her character model has changed as well, and this one was due to fan complaints: http:...

Re: Street Fighter 5 announced for PS4 and PC

I've seen no mention of internet campaigns complaining about the contents of the game or anything of the sort, seems plausible that Capcom decided to do it for their own reasons and not because of external pressure. Getting an ESRB rating of mature instead of teen can make a difference, and Street F...

Re: Last Movie You Watched

Yesterday I watched Compliance. It was an interesting movie but with an absurdly stupid plot, and then I found out it was based on a true story, all of it, not even the worse parts were fabricated.

Is it possible to make the banner clickable and make it return you to the forum home screen? I find this very useful in other sites.

It's not the most popular slice of life, which is a shame because it's a great one, certainly the best one I've watched. You probably know this by now but there's also a movie that was released after the series.

Re: Third Impact Has Arrived

Great, now the forum has a mobile friendly version and quoting multiple posts is much easier. Those were the kinds of improvements I was hoping for. I suggest trying the new wide version out, that fixed many of my issues. I second that, I didn't use the wide version in the old EGF but here it looks ...

Re: Forum Theme Issues - reporting and discussion

Note that some theme elements have their width defined by % of the window size. This leads to the profile information to the left of a post being unnecessarily extended if you have a wide window (and the wide theme to allow the forum to expand to fill it). Later I'll look at trying to improve the s...

That's a natural reaction to change, especially in this case since evageeks has been the same for so long. Once you get used to it you won't even remember what it looked like before.

Also, new banner spoiler.

Good to know. To be honest I'm mostly fine with EGF as is, but there are some conveniences present in other forums, that run on better software, that I'd love to see here, most importantly the ability to easily quote multiple posts.
