Gottfried Helnwein paints Rei Ayanami

I had been something of a lukewarm "fan" of Gottfried Helnwein ever since I first came to know him from his collaborations with Marilyn Manson in 2003. It was only fairly recently that I even learned that many of his works were in fact paintings and not merely photographs. I had no sooner ...

I can't bring myself to stick additional Godzilla projects into the AGAIN file and be shocked or annoyed. Godzilla is one of those things that's always bound to return in some form; he's like the news. I can't wait, even if it sucks, because there will be another one looming behind i...

I've finally just seen the first episode of Magic Knight Rayearth (Hulu recently added it) and... DAMN. I've long said that the theme song to this show is by far one of my favorite theme songs ever; let it never be mistaken for my feelings about the show. I know I've only seen on...

I grabbed several pilots over PSN and out of all of them (somewhat to my amazement/consequent to several disappointments) the show I'm really digging is Bamboo Blade. It's great at being what I need right now: shallow fuzzy light comic entertainment.

Little Big Planet: Angel Attack

I can't tell if this has been mentioned before (that search function is all wonky for me), but I was cruising LBP late last night and came upon a level that made me say "wow" aloud to myself. A user named " bodmerr " has published a level called " EVANGELION ...

Neither the TV ending nor EoE would be touched. The script would be altered to make Kaworu out to be the mastermind behind everything. After his (silent, bloodless) defeat, footage of Tokyo-3 would be set to the sounds of cheering crowds, and the only remaining shot would be of Shinji saying...

Jelly and jam are two distinct food products. Jelly is made from fruit juices, while jam is made from the pulp of the whole fruit. Jam is thick and chunky, while jelly is smooth and even.

I liked Clannad + After Story (to my surprise) so much that I went out and got Kanon and Air . Having seen Clannad first, the other two series struck me as being almost prototypical; elements are recycled so shamelessly as to seem like mere drafts. (I had high hopes for Air given all of ...
