^ ^I remain skeptical about Khara being behind this, but who knows. At the very least, I hope they didn't let those immature con-goers give them cold feet. Delaying the release because some stunted fans can't handle gay undertones would be a big overreaction. I haven't seen the dub of 3...

If anyone knows of some sweet Sandalphon artwork, official or fanmade, I'd love to see it... it's one of the few cards that I'm having difficulties finding satisfactory artwork for. Matarael's another.

Thanks in advance. :)

Thanks, glad you guys like 'em.

Unfortunately I can't take credit for the incredible artwork I'm using. :p

Anyway, i've updated the main post to have all of the new cards, as well as the most up-to-date revisions of all the others. ^_^

^ The "cartoony animation" in the silly NGE moments were here because that was the style in the 90's and to reduce production costs. Rebuils is in another era and Khara have all the money they need, that's why this kind of cartonny animation isn't present anymore. As I acknowl...

No Magic fans around these parts? :p Anyway, the set's progressing smoothly. I'm now up to 38 cards... not all of which are "done" per se, but then again none of them are truly ever finished until I've got all the cards in the set completed and I think they're all good to g...

. . . but those moments you name are presented in exactly the same fashion as the "cartoony" stuff you talk about in NGE. I mean, it's exactly the same. Some are cartoony, such as Asuka's introduction and her Pen-Pen incident. But some, such as the fanservicey plugsuit bit and the...

At that point your use of the term "anime-ness" is meaningless, since you're not using it to refer to either the stereotypes represented nor the things the characters do nor . . . well, much of anything else, really. Again, since the beginning, I've been saying that I'm talkin...

I would strongly disagree wrt Ha, and the comparison doesn't even make sense unless you're limiting it to the action arc of NGE. After episode 15 those silly moments are pretty much gone from the show. And again, if you're talking over the top Shinji's behavior in Q is the best exam...

Dude, that's just absurd. It's totally backwards -- the characters in the ENT are more like anime stereotypes than the characters in NGE ever were. Shikinami's a bona fide tsundere, we have a cooking subplot, Shinji's got maximum derp going on, the whole nine yards. Hell, we even ha...

@Bagheera : Just to be clear, you're saying NGE's characterizations weren't cliched or stereotyped, etc at that point (1995) or now, right? Never said they were clichéd or or stereotyped. If calling Asuka "Tsundere 101" made you think that's what I meant by anime-i...

I'd say that character's personalities are a bit more believable in Rebuild than in NGE... if only for the fact that they've been toned down to realistic levels. Asuka's still Tsundere 101, but at least she's not going absolutely apeshit over every little thing like she does in t...

NGE Magic: The Gathering set

I'm making an Evangelion Magic set, and so far it's progressing nicely. I'm approximately 30% done. Just a warning: Not every card will necessarily make sense flavor-wise, since I'm putting gameplay function considerations first... Door of Guf being the first of which, since I came u...

I'll agree with the notion that Anno's not perfect (huge surprise there, nobody is).

Everything else in that clusterfuck of a post is pretty silly, IMHO.

ANIMA turned into an anime series. And a live-action trainwreck.

I hope.
