I have to admit, the English dub of 3.0+1.0 is decent. Not great, but decent. I actually think Tiffany Grant's delivery toward the end was especially heart-wrenching. And I say this as no fan of Grant's Asuka.

Obviously we need a full movie series revolving around Pen Pen. Same budget, same care in animating, most of the dialogue is penguin sounds. Except Pen Pen's inner thoughts will be voiced by Norio Wakamoto.

Just finished it. My feelings about 3.0+1.0 are… complicated. It was a huge improvement from the previous film, but it has some flaws of its own.

1.11: 6 out of 10
1.22: 9 out of 10
3.33: 3 out of 10
3.0+1.0: 7 out of 10

Fantastic to see the OG cast members back, but the biggest thing for me with this is Amanda Winn-Lee returning as Rei Why? It's Rei. It's not exactly a meaty role, acting-wise. Looks like I’ll be sticking to the Japanese version. Regardless of who plays secondary characters, I still cannot stand Spencer or Grant in their roles. I’m not even that fond of Allison Keith, either. I am, however, extremely fond of Megumi Ogata and Kotono Mistuishi. Weird hybrid dub. I hope GKids...

I hope the GKids release is under $300. I love Evangelion, but no matter what kind of extras, $300 for 26 episodes is too much.

Damn it, I'm going to be bummed if the GKids release doesn't have the VSI/Netflix dub. But I guess the Japanese version will still be there.

The Dynit release is 129.99 €. Roughly $154. I’m hoping the GKids release is priced similarly.

The Italian boxset from Dynit doesn't have the Netflix Italian dub on it (just the classic Italian dub). I wonder what English dub(s) will be on the GKids release.
