Very interesting as usual, Numbers-kun. Your translations are often so useful. And yet again, Olivier Hague has been vindicated! From http://eva.onegeek.org/pipermail/oldeva/2001-April/039702.html : But did they ever state that there would be no more Eva? After all, they intended to make the Summer ...

Too bad _Prano_ will never be translated in full. One of the table of contents entries that Numbers-kun translated for us is... "What's so great about Gendo?" Yes, one wonders!

Blue monday: I'm not sure why you're still hoping. Past is prologue. Sadamoto has not changed. If he could not deliver the goods before, why do you expect him to be able to do so with the ending - when satisfying endings are what separate the men from the mice? With so little time left, too:...

Komatsuda's being silly (good thing he wasn't on EoE!) but I don't see how he's responsible for everything that's happened in the series. Who said I was talking about *just* the series & EoE? :) Cloning and mind-rape apply to 2.0, Rei II's suicide would have ...

This seems from the context to be a reference to something in Narutaru (meaning, I think, the Narutaru manga). I haven't read the manga, or even seen the anime, so I'm not really sure what; I may have misinterpreted it. Now that you mention it, I recall that when I watched the _Naru...

I guess the description wasn't translated. That certainly wasn't what I was expecting it to look like, but now that I see it, I can see why one might call it paper instead of wings or tentacles or something.

Glad you're back Numbers-kun. We missed you, or at least I did (it's not just the translations! It's also your rugged good looks and boyish sense of humor!). As usual, I'm adding this to http://www.gwern.net/docs/2010-crc I thought that the image of the dragon king's pala...

You know, one provided by Gainax in Youtube or stuff?

Apparently not. Don't you know Japanese media companies/conglomerates hate and fear the Internet?

First, the obligatory "squee" over finally having a release date. Squee. That out of the way, I find the focus on Asuka puzzling. I mean, we all know I'd focus on Asuka, but since the NME has pretty clearly been Shinji's show up to this point going nuts about Asuka in the previews...

Francophones wanted

I've resumed translating French materials; the current target is the 1996 NewType interview with Anno, the one in which he insults the fans and tells them to come back to reality after the series finished.

Any French speakers interested in checking and improving my translation?
