Double post, but I can't express enough how important to the world building is Emil side quest.
Take a walktgrough if you must, preferably non spoiling one. And to complete it you MUST do it before 2B and 9S separate. That is before the giant sea machine boss.

Re: Nier: Automata
Yes. Pascal is loveable. Also it's very important to do as many sidequests during 2nd playthrough as humanly possibile. 9S insight digs up huge chunks of lore, otherwise hidden. Remember, he's a scanner type. Getting intel is his forte, wheter they want him to or not :P

Boy, you have no idea what you're about to see and learn. I strongly advise doing all side quests tough. Many of them provide fantastic hindsight.

Yes. I did. I played and I cried. I fucking love those characters. Fictional or not, they deserve a hug. Also, pods are best partners ever. If i remember correctly, you can pet the pod with that big button in the middle of the controller. If you do it enough times, you will recieve very heartwarming...

Yes. Yes they would.
Shinji&W40K proves that they can, in spite of Anno :P

Re: [Film] Alita: Battle Angel
And she knows it in the manga. There is a scene, where she complains to Ido, that if she wanted to express her feelings for Hugo with "her whole self", she would hurt him. Que her fingers clenching in frustration... And tearing giant, steel pipe she was leaning on. Yeeaaah... Emotional hug...

Re: [Film] Alita: Battle Angel
As much as I'm scared of the adaptation, I'm unexpectedly happy to return to the classic version of the series. While I like the new techniques and upgrades in power like in shounen, Alita's personality in Last Order became somewhat... Unpleasant for me. Especially during the ZOTT arc. On the plus s...

Re: Will Anno Try To Top The "Hospital Room Scene"? Can Anything Be As Messed Up?
As much as I really hope 1.0+3.0 pulls an End of Evangelion and just shits all over everything, partially to prove a point but also in part because Anno loves being a dick, I know it won't happen. The New Theatrical films are clearly trying to be more mainstream and accessible, which became painful...

Actually, the time skip between Ha and Q is Evangelion without Shinji, and judging from what I've seen here, pretty much everyone wants to see it.
Sooo... Yeah, Eva without Shinji would be quite popular, most likely less angsty and with more badassery.

And he does it in style. And that makes him impressive. And he would succeed as well if not for the fact, that the very person he was doing it for, used and betrayed him from the very beginning.

Then it's not the ending. It's a moment of respite that will be demolished soon enough.

Fine. you win. I can't argue agains "it's just a cartoon and their traumas aren't real." argument.

Re: If Shinji commits suicide...
If Anno can rise above his own self-loathing and inadequacies, why can't Shinji? Uhh, because Anno's self loathing and depression about people being childish, was petty compared to Shinji's "I caused death of millions, and the closest people I had to family, would rather put a bomb collar on m...

Considering Wunder usually flights at high speed, it would be hard to prepare net on such a short notice. Besides, net is a waste of time and resources that could be used for saving the world. They're not obligated to pamper the brat. And since they most likely flew over ocean, there won't be need t...

He will appear, lie uselessly in fetal position and then disappear without doing anything meaningful.

How many horses do you see. The one taking picture is not visible, and cannot be seen. Therefore their answer is valid.

Re: If Shinji commits suicide...
I Just once. I 'd like to see Shinji lash out about how unfair he's being treated. I don't mean just whine. I mean lash out. Get violent, let the world know just how unhappy he is. He already did that after Bardiel, when he attacked NERV with Eva. As everything he does on his own, it ended in pathe...
